Get someone who's clued up to write email template and we all send to all labour mps send same email every week till they get the message flood them with thousands emails that we all can do

Why don't someone write an email template and we all email labour mps once a week same email saying same things outline everything out the lies they been putting in media and put facts in come on some very knowledgeable people on here look at it as a MR we are fighting for we have been victimised dehumanised bully put of our minds we can't keep saying on here day after day we have to do something and this is a good idea come on !!!!!@ cant keep relying on charities THIS IS OUR FUTURE stop sitting back waiting for it to happen alot of us housebound it's easy for us to send we need to do now

Apples write up a template email outlining everything from the human side of it to the lies send it to the group and everyone should send to all labour mps once a week same email flood them with come on we need ACTION NOW we know they don't care we need to get a back bone and do this at least it's like sitting waiting for a earthquake and not moving

Right now charities like scope can get semi regular access to ministers such as Stephen timms and even Kendall herself
If they say launched, say a lawsuit to the high courts then I think access to ministers would be axed
(We have seen what is happening in America if someone publically questions/disagrees with trump - obviously the uk is nowhere near this level however many sources have told media that starmer is the most ruthless pm in recent history and there’s been a few things in the past few months that I didn’t think a uk gov was capable doing (such as significantly cutting foreign aid) and especially a labour gov but it’s clear that we are in unprecedented times and the rule book has been thrown out of the window)
if we do need to persuade gov to u turn, water down things or change direction then we need to do so on multiple frontsSo it’s important one of those fronts is charities talking directly to ministers as they are versed in ‘language’ we aren’t (individual anger would rub ministers up the wrong way and they’d shut off - charity like scope are better at diplomacy and controlling emotions
Other fronts to ‘fight’ via include (but not limited to) writing to relevant figures, protests (in person and virtually), campaigns and legal cases (just a few)
Members on the scope forum may be able to help each other with a few of the above - but disability charities may not be the most knowledgeable or well placed for other actions - and disability organisations (including known disability activists- both groups and individuals) are probably better placed to inform and help with other ideas

There is no way i can work.…I'm now facing up to the very real possibility that I will be destitute and probably homeless in the near future.
Feeling utterly lost and hopeless, but I'm not going down without a fight.

It's horrible fluffycatmeow, everyday is a challenge for us sick and disabled but this is making us more ill.
The Stress is unbearable. I vomited all through the night on Saturday , and my crohns and lupus have flared due to stress.

They was relying on the hate of disabled people but they have done this to most people in uk farmers workers the lot so people are waking up and realising it's THEM not us the psychologically played it the wrong way came in like bull in China shop throwing weight around taking our civil liberties marching orders didn't even sweeten us up and forgetting people had enough of 14 years of tories god they was so hungry for this so all the years of dreaming what they would do can spilling out like verbal @##### they showed themselves to quickly

from what I’ve seen in comments on YouTube the government have said they want to rush this through quickly and any back benchers refusing to agree will be disciplined. Ellen is looking at legal action if it comes to it and has a plan of action.

Comments like this just reiterate the stereotypes that the disabled are easy targets
Throwing in the towel at the first sign of difficulty just reinforces this and makes government pushing for welfare cuts to fill treasury kitty (if that is the confirmed plan) carry on believing we are the easiest group to balance the books with

Have you ever heard the saying ‘survival of the fittest?’
I’ve navigated the system for a while now and (and some members will disagree with me) but you are better placed to be successful in disability welfare assessments if you have support, the more the better (it takes a village) even if it’s to share the load and reduce overload on MH (esp essential if you have to go through MR, tribunal or want to take a case to high court)
Support a individual may have are friends and family, carers, health specialists, charities and some wild cards (when a support system goes to extraordinary lengths (or just has ‘dumb luck) to obtain a helpful resource that could make all the difference in success or failure) - also some individuals on this forum may have 1 or multiple ‘break glass in emergency’ safety net available to them if the welfare safety net gets compromised (by things like cuts and tightened criteria)
I know there are many on this forum who don’t have a big support system or access to resources (or even have nothing and talking to other scope members is all they have in terms of support
most of us who consider ourselves lucky in terms of our ‘village’ most likely consider sharing personal circumstances as private but also distasteful knowing what others on this forum have got to go through
though I have many health conditions/disablities and my mental health is wrecked I still consider myself to be very very lucky with my village - the easy thing for me to do would be to step away from the scope forum and concentrate solely on myself and figure out how to adapt to possible reforms and find the way to get the highest possible welfare award (much easier to figure out this just for myself)But I have a conscience and feel a duty to pay it forward as other members on this forum have spared their time helping me with answering my questions in past years
what I don’t have time for is those saying they are doomed and figuratively insist on ‘staying on the titanic’ rather than find a ‘life-raft’ or literally anything that may ‘float’ with added body weight. It’s even worse when you try and convince others that there’s no hope and to give up
(In 2025 2 individuals took the gov/dwp to high court and won huge victories - and we’ve had multiple David’s take on the dwp’s Goliath and won big big victories (result in fairer criteria changes and backpay payouts) in the last 15 years - I have a in depth list that may not be complete which I’ll post in the thread I started in the ‘other benefits’ **** topic)6 -
I hope we can find ways to cope with this stress (partly because it’s important to but partly because I’m petty and don’t want the government to have the pleasure of stressing me out lol)
My Crohns is also flaring from the mess and it’s so hard to balance staying in the know and when to go total-distraction-mode (as much as possible)

What does it mean when they say the new proposals will be fast tracked? I don't understand any of it, I thought they had to have consultations etc before such things became law. Why isn't Scope putting anything on here to correct us if we could be wrong or misinformed?
What is the usual process for changing legislation to benefits etc, and even if it gets voted through, which by sounds of it will be, can it still then be taken to court if deemed unlawful or discriminatory by the likes of Ellen Clifford?

I don't know what it means to be fast tracked but yes it can be challenged in court and I am sure it will be.

the YouTuber who watched a bit of the zoom said they know about the leak on itv news . He said in his opinion it seems it was leaked by someone who doesn’t agree with it . No proof just his opinion . I also watched the black belt barrister and he said this could go through without new legislation but if the 80 MPs who disagree with it and vote against it it would be worse for Starmer. If he took away their whip it could lead to a vote of no confidence. Obviously this would need the 80 plus back benchers to stand by their word .
