With respect, you may be reading more into this than is actually there. Ultimately, these are fairly clueless party hacks with little experience of anything beyond their own narrow world. Hence their outsourcing of so much to Mr McSweeney - Labour's version of **** Cummings.

I hope this is true . Is the observer a reputable paper ?
technically they wouldn’t be forced into a humiliating u-turn as they’ve never said the leaks were true . Maybe that’s why it was leaked , to test the reaction then deny certain parts were ever going to happen?1 -
First post, it is a rant - apologies in advance, I've been drinking…
All this talk of "making people work" brings to mind another group which had the same idea, and a "slogan" for it: "arbeit macht frei".
I'm autistic and have various other mental health issues, have been sectioned and have tried multiple times to commit suicide - what the govt is now doing is pure sadism - keeping all this in the news without telling us what they intend to do. When the rumours of them altering the ISA rate come out they made a statement saying they weren't going to - nothing for us tho. Oh, to have enough money to be able to save any of it.
Having just been forced through the "managed migration" **** I'd finally thought that things were going to settle down - now this. Having had to deal with the stress of that I figured I'd try to claim PIP too (too much stress to deal with it whilst everything was just "chugging along" on ESA support group) - guess that's now out of the window and will have to try to find work.

I lived through the tories screwing us - being forced to move due to the HB changes. I even used to be a Labour member. At lease the tories had the honesty to tell us to our faces whilst sticking the knife in, they didn't stick it in out back and try to tell us it was "for our own good".

Mods: remove this if it's off topic/etc.

This is "The Guardian - The Observer":

I think Timms should be told that as disabled minister he has done nothing for us. That if people are talking about ending it, then it's on their responsibility.
4 -
so it’s from the guardian not the observer ? Is the guardian trustworthy. I keep pressing on the links and they just pop up a pic of starmers face which is the last thing I want to see .
1 -
The observer is part of the Guardian. And yes it's a reputable source.
1 -
so will lcwra changes happen straight away as I saw they are going to cut it same with pip
1 -
The Guardian is trustworthy. I’d say probably one of the most trustworthy papers.
Your last sentence made me laugh, so thank you for that given the circumstances. I’m sick of seeing his face every time I open twitter. Him or Reeves smugly smirking in every photo2 -
I hope it’s true . We need some good news

Hi mate I get where your at, please try to be positive, we are all in the same boat , and we all have to cross the river, when we know exactly what river we need to cross, I think this labour government has got to be the most unpopular ever, in just their first year running the country, I am 51 and can't think of anyone more unpopular than starmer , Reeves and kendell

I’ve watched enough true crime to know a psychopath when I see one but never so many in one group of people
1 -
And I think if there was a general election tomorrow, they be obliterated, but for some reason there narcissistic behaviour they don't see it
2 -
Wasn’t that what was leaked earlier, that the criteria will change so only the mist disabled are eligible?
0 -
anyone going to reply about lcwra will the money get cut or stopped like they are trying to do with pip
2 -
That's something I've thought too. Never before have I come across a government only in for a few months and I'm already convinced they cannot win the next election. Whether it's held in 2029 or next Thursday, the opening days have been so catastrophic with regard their own vote, that any recovery seems impossible.
2 -
Hi , no one knows anything for sure yet . We can only hope things won’t be as bad as we’re expecting.

no media are trustworthy , that’s why they are publishing leaks from the government and will get paid to do so. All I can say to everyone, is ignore the news and wait for the official announcement.

From what i understand according to articles such as from the rowntree foundation LCWRA could be cut by as high as 34% for new claimants and probably those reassessed. After inflation increase that could be as high as £128 gone each month! This is the most damaging part of the proposed changes even more damaging then the PIP freeze! They're also thinking about not allowing those with ADHD, Depression or Autism from being able for claiming this entitlement which is discriminatory! We won't know for sure until next week however when more information gets released. Its important to protest these proposed changes be as loud as possible. https://www.jrf.org.uk/news/factsheet-health-related-benefit-cuts
