I get £281 esa a fortnight and £609 a month taken of uc but march uc statement says £80 esa deduction do I need to contact them?

Hi I've received a letter today from the council saying I now owe them money from April However I had the severe disability premium on Esa and have read that it's unlawful for the council to do this. Is that correct? It's been non stop loss of money since transitioning. Thank you
