Not received they seem to have changed the wording on the qualifying procedure ive been unemployed since oct now have PTSD got new style JS same ammount of moneyvas UC big mistake was advised to go on UC got 0 award only rent paid.
And debt payment to tax credits so never received any COLP not one of them got the txt to say they were being paid but again nothing..

Any advice on this would be so appreciated ...The eligibility criteria is exactly the same as last year, the wording hasn't changed. The only difference being the qualifying dates are naturally different.The first cost of living payment of £301 for this year for those claiming DWP means tested benefits can be paid anytime from now up until 17th May.In a previous thread you said you're claiming UC with LCWRA, see thread. https://forum.scope.org.uk/discussion/104914/please-help#latestThe qualifying period to be entitled to the cost of living payment this time for those claiming UC is you must have been entitled to a payment (or later found to be entitled to a payment) of Universal Credit for an assessment period that ended in the period 26 January 2023 to 25 February 2023.If your UC has been reduced to zero because they are paying your landlord directly for the rent then this doesn't mean you're not entitled to the payment. You'll still be entitled to the payment but you'll need to wait to receive it. There's many people who haven't received it yet, you're not the only person. There's another 3 weeks left for you to receive it.

@poppy123456
Yes only now i recieve the UC benefits my 1st assessment period was 4th of feb till 3rd mardh that i got any money from UC so im guessing no COLP but gt txt if i would have been advised properly from DWP i would have claimed UC from oct 2022 as i missed out on all COLP maddness..Never got any of the COLP even though UC were paying rent direct and taking off debt of 50 to tax credits which i only recently got reduced after many calls to 10 pound a month
Im at a loss as its a minefield in DWP not the same answer twice0 -
I didn't get mine, I bet I will be lucky to get it on 16th of May:-)Previous one was in my bank account on the first day:-(Well, we need to wait.0

When you will not be eligible: ‘Nil awards’
You will not be eligible for the Cost of Living Payment if your benefit is reduced to £0 for the qualifying period. This is sometimes called a ‘nil award’.
Reasons your benefit may be reduced to £0 include:
- you got more than one payment of earnings in your Universal Credit assessment period
- your or your partner’s earnings went up
- your or your partner’s savings went up
- you started getting another benefit
- you got a ‘sanction’ because you did not do something you agreed in your claimant commitment
You may still be eligible for a Cost of Living Payment if your benefit is reduced to £0 and one of the following applies:
- money was taken off your benefit for other reasons, such as payments of rent to your landlord or for money that you owe

Should i raise i didnt get one in last year either once time limit has passedAs you didn't claim UC until October then i wouldn't have expected you to be entitled to the November payment.You were eligible for the second Cost of Living Payment of £324 if you were entitled to a payment (or later found to be entitled to a payment) of Universal Credit for an assessment period that ended in the period 26 August 2022 to 25 September 2022.

It will be paid as a separate payment. If it goes into your bank on the same day as your usual UC payment then it's just a coincidence.They won't give exact dates for anyone because it's not possible to do this simply because of the amount of payments they need to make.Last years cost of living payments will have no bearing on this years so when you received it last time isn't relevant. There's some this time that didn't receive it till later in the timescale last year but they received it already for this payment.If you run out of electric then speak to your energy supplier or there's some food banks that give vouchers for energy, unless you have family or a friend that you can borrow some money from.0
