Thank you very much0

It may sound like a story but that's exactly what you need to do.

Thank you. I will do my best0

My kids have said they will write letters that I can attach to the UC50 giving examples of what is like being with me at home and going out etc. I say kids but they are both over 18.
Worth doing or just a waste of time?0 -
Just that I don't want to waste the kids time or mine if it's not going to make the blind bit of difference0
-
Some people find this helpful yes. You should make sure they include information related to which ever descriptor you think applies to you.

Thanks Poppy, so they do actually read it?0
-
Well i know they read my daughters evidence that i sent in 2021 because she knew everything about her. It would have been impossible to know if they didn't read it.Never assume they won't read it and never let that stop you sending in supporting evidence.1

Thank you again Poppy0

The only evidence I was able to provide with the work capacity form was a letter from a family member supporting what I had stated in my form (real world examples of how my health condition affects me). This and some photographs I sent from my counciling sessions were the only supporting evidence I sent. I was awarded LCWRA so I think it's well worth asking the person/people who know you best to write a letter to support your claim if you can.

You're welcome. I think i may have mentioned this before but for my last review in 2020 all i sent was my repeat prescription list and a very brief letter from my OT. The rest was my anecdotal evidence. From this i had a paper based assessment and remained in the Support Group. (ESA)

That's good to know thank you. I am currently getting all my bits together and there is some stuff I have that I hadn't done at time of my last review so will include that. The way I am I just want to get things over and done with and get this form back so I am really really trying to take my time, do a question a day maybe and go from there.0

Me again
So the envelope they send you to send the form back. Do you have to use it? Just that I am printing the form out and with other stuff I need to add its far bigger than that envelope0 -
You can use a different envelope. Make sure you get proof of posting which is free from any post office.0

Many thanks, if I send anything to the DWP I always send it recorded delivery. Funny how none of my "normal" letters to them ever seem to arrive!1

Yes that is correct. I just meant most letters I send to these people whether its health service, dwp or other never usually "arrives". Definitely have better luck with tracked services0

I know you aren't supposed to write your life history but I have so much to write for the mental health part of the questions. Is that allowed?0
-
Hi, sorry one more question. Also I can't get any new "evidence" or anything before the time the form has to go back. Letters from therapists etc take up to 3 months apparently and all I have is my word on things. I have 3 people that they can write to but from what I gather they don't do that.
I have been sat looking at this form for a week now and haven't filled a thing in.0
