Received my assessment result today which was very quick.
Have got LCWRA which I am very thankful for. Thanks again for everyone’s help.
Is there a waiting period? I get paid on the 12th normally. I have already been getting LCW for over a year and ESA for years before thatThank you again everyone0 -
That's great news!! There's no waiting period for you because you had already been found to have LCW. The extra money will be from the assessment period in which the decision was made. This means you should receive the extra money from your next payment.. 12th September. (assuming this was a review started by UC and you didn't report changes)

Hi, many thanks
I never reported any changes or anything. However my daughter is going to college which will be reported as a change as her first day is the last day of my assessment period. (She has had a year off from education so I got nothing for her for a year)0 -
May i ask how old your daughter is? It must be classed as full time non advanced education and if she's 19 then she must have enrolled on the course before she reach 19. https://www.entitledto.co.uk/help/child-over-16

Hi, of course that’s no problem.
She is 18. It’s a full time non advanced course

Thank you. Then you should be entitled to the child element as well. One other thing, i don't know if you were affected by the benefit cap before the WCA decision? If you were then it will no longer apply to you and you should be paid any money that's owed to you.

Hi Poppy,
I don’t think I was to be honest. Pretty sure I wasn’t but good to know and thank you again especially for all your help
It really has been appreciated and been thankful to have it0 -
Thats's good. You're very welcome!1

I wanted to ask when would LCWRA start from for me? Would it be from when they sent the form to me or a later date?0

As advised here.poppy123456 said:The extra money will be from the assessment period in which the decision was made. This means you should receive the extra money from your next payment..0

Hi Poppy thank you. I did read that but couldn't work out if it was from when they sent the form out or when I returned it

It's none of those. It's from when they made the actual decision of the WCA.

Ok thanks, makes sense now

You're welcome. I don't know if you're aware but it's an ongoing award until a new decision says otherwise.

Thanks again Poppy, I was aware and hopefully be a while before need to go through all this again

Don't suppose anyone knows how to report a change and say she is going back to college?I have gone to report a change and children that live with you and I select date change happened which is today but all I can see is Finish, I don't want to click that just yet as I don't know what it does.
I cannot see anything that allows me to put she has gone back to education.0 -
Think I done it

Glad you managed to work it out.1

Indeed, glad you got it sorted.
You know we are always here if you've further questionsAt least, I'm here for support but perhaps not answering very specific and complex questions
. I'm going to be honest poppy has far better benefits system knowledge than I do. (I'm working on it, almost a month working here now!)

My assessment periods last day was yesterday, the same day my daughter started college so was within the assessment period. I reported the change first thing in the morning and can see my journal sa
Children and other people who live with you - declare changes completed
However on my statement which shows today it has the LCWRA element but nothing about the child element which I should be getting.
Shouldn't that be included?
