It's dry here at the moment @Sandy_123 but it looks like it's going to tip down any second.1

Hello everyone
@Ada I didn't realise your partner drank and there's me complaining about the damage my partner did to himself. I'm so so sorry.
@66Mustang well done for making such massive changes. You are an inspiration.
Have a good afternoon everyone and stay warm and safe 😊

@Ada you are not wicked. Its a hard situation. My exhusband was abusive in every way and these days they call the mental side coercive control. I'm glad they teach youngsters about it.
Mr Mary doll gave me back my self esteem and confidence and it was a shock to realise the alcoholism. I nearly walked away.
@Lou67 I am sorry too you had problems. I have come to realise that they have to admit there is a problem or nothing will change.
The nurse taking bloods yesterday asked him how he got help as her brother in law was an alcoholic. He told her his story and that when the confusion lifted (wet brain) he saw men at end stage liver failure and was shocked and never wanted to get to that stage.
He won't get another chance and only a small part of his liver works. It was a big thing to tell someone else his story.
Life is hard.1 -
@Marydoll5
I think it’s amazing that he has realised he wants to live and not just exist and become seriously I’ll or worse.It’ll benefit him greatly by telling the nurse his story.As they say you only keep what you have by giving it away.(Meaning his sobriety)Life with my ex husband became a nightmare he died 8 years ago, I felt sad for my kids as it was still their dad.
@Ada
You are far from wicked you have put up with your partners ways for a long time. After 26 years I had to walk away for the last time.

@Lou67 I am sorry for your children too and you for having to go through that.
@Ada I always say walk in my shoes before you judge me. You are a strong kind hearted soul. May the peace last long to give you a rest.
On a lighter note I made pizza tonight to use up the flatbreads before they went stale. So cheap to make!
Enjoy your coffee @Sandy_123 you earned it.2 -
Ps I apologise Scopicles for writing too much. It's just great having you all to check in with my friends ❤️4

@Marydoll5
Don't ever apologise for coming on here it’s great having you.
It’s just a great safe place I feel to be able to talk as openly as we want.Thanks for your kind words. My ex husband wasn’t always the way he turned out.I met him at 15 I fell pregnant at 16 I know 🤦♀️ had my daughter at not long after I turned 17 a week after my birthday we got married, and things were good for a few years, till his demons took over.
I left lots of times but always went back. Finally left for good in 2010.Oh and home cooked pizza sounds delicious 😋
@Sandy_123
Glad you had a nice time with your grandkids,
