How is your day going?

Morning everyone! I see I've a lot to catch up on in here so give me a moment.
@Ada I'm very glad you like that site. My partner was telling me about them, she really likes the site because they test all the products to see how the products grow and taste before they sell them! We live in a rented property, while there is a nice section of grass my partner grows nearly everything in pots. The only things in the ground are our berry bushes/vines in a small plot by one of the side fences.
What's the 1% club? I've not actually heard of that. Is it a quiz show of some kind? I rarely watch tv but when I do I like Pointless and Only Connect
@chiarieds Not me who gets them from there :P my partner! She is the gardener in our house, I just help with the more physically demanding jobs due to her Ehlers-Danlos.
@Grinchy I hope you're doing better now and got some rest. You're always free to rant here remember, we're here to support you
@66Mustang Yes! The youtube series has really taught me just how much training and safety goes into it. It is very safe. Regarding people "feeling safer with a men", I have noticed that the negative stereotype that women are "not as good at driving" can also get applied to women pilots. Despite there being absolutely no evidence to back that up. It is a very male-dominated industry still.
However, I still totally understand @rubin16. I can totally see having that feeling of.... non control being an issue. My partner can have issues feeling trapped and planes can be anxiety inducing for her.
Hope you have a good time at your nans
@Zimba Glad you had a good time and that the Queen tribute was good!
I think that's all I can manage just now sorry!
Also, please don't take me responding to many people as a requirement for yourself to reply to everyone! Only reply to what you feel able to. I don't want people to get overwhelmed thinking they have to reply to every single comment in here.4 -
@Jimm_Scope
Not sure the context you are asking but I know “The 1% Club” is like slang for the richest people in society so maybe something about that

@Sandy_123
Yes I’ve stayed in with you lol
I thought my son was at the game but he’s away watching it somewhere with his pals, I always worry when there’s a big game in till I know he’s home.
❤️1 -
Yeah, I know it's usually used for the top richest 1% but it seemed like they were talking about a quiz show which happens to share the same name :P I like quiz shows so wondered what it was1

Weather been to bad to do anything. And to tired. Lol.
Just been on podcast but so bored. I watched mafs repeats again. Lol.
How are you xx
Im ok thanks I’ve had another day in but felt I needed it.I’ve been watching a reality challenge programme, I’m enjoying it they are all so competitive but it is for a million dollar prize 🤯lol1 -
I saw a clip from the USA version of Who Wants To Be A Millionaire
It had a really clever guy who was on the last question and he hadn't used any of his lifelines
He said he didn't know the answer and asked to use his "phone a friend"
He phoned his Dad and just said "Hi Dad I just want to let you know I'm about to win $1 million"
Then he answered the correct answer2 -
They have this game show in the States called Jeopardy! which I always enjoy watching with my partner's family.
They recently broadcast a British version (a second attempt I believe) and it just wasn't as good to watch for some reason. They added a third round which kind of just dragged it out. While in the states they can earn almost $100,000 in an episode in the UK one you can barely earn £10,000. I guess because we have a smaller population so less ad revenue.1 -
@Jimm_Scope I've noticed that before with prize money often being better in the USA, I never really thought about the reason but that makes reasonable sense to me
On a kinda similar note the other day I was wondering when "Who Wants To Be A Millionaire?" came out because the prize money is worth less every year
I just looked on Google and it came out in 1998, so for the prize to be of the same value today the sum would need to be a tad under £1.86 million1 -
Well that's another day done2

We have binged watched Judge John Deed and are down to the last episode this evening. I hate it when a good series ends, very like when you've read all the books by a favourite author.
I'm still having temperatures and am sore and weak. I wish I felt better, got very little done this weekend 😩1 -

Im so sorry you’re still not feeling good I hope your better soon.
Yeah I hate getting to the end of a series I’m enjoying and there’s no more left 🙄 I hope you get a decent sleep later.
@Ada
I hope you find some decent things to watch on tv, but I agree with you roll on the better weather.
@Sandy_123
