Changing to getting my prescriptions delivered over having to go to the pharmacy was honestly a game changer for me. I'd often forget to go pick them up etc. now it all comes to my door.

@Jimm_Scope I think it will be great in the winter months, when it's dark and cold

Omg I wanted to buy some loose tea and was looking for a tea strainer, you won't believe how tea strainers have advanced now. Some really great ones on Amazon. I'm in-between buying a fancy strainer or a tea pot with strainer inside.

Hi everyone from the big smoke! I could not live in London....too expensive, too busy. Makes me appreciate Mabel and Newcastle even more.

I'm ready to cry right now. We got to the hotel around 7pm exhausted from travelling. We opened the room door to find twin beds not the double I booked months ago.

During the night I got up to go to the toilet in my bare feet. We hadn't realised that the floor outside the so called accessible bathroom was soaked through. I felt my feet sink into a saturated carpet stepped on the bathroom tiles and slid and fell on the floor.

Mr helped me up and I've a lovely bruised derriere and aching back for my trouble. In the morning we saw the tide mark on the carpet and water damage on the inside of the bathroom door.

I went to reception this morning and politely explained what happened. The duty manager was horrible and more or less made out he was amazed I didn't inform them when it happened!!!

I made him go to the room and he saw the state of the room. Got moved to double room and no apology!

I missed my appointment for lashes waiting to move room. I'm not a happy bunny. 5 star hotel 🤬

Oh no @Marydoll5!!!! That’s awful!!!! It’s good they moved your room eventually but what a horrible start to your trip 😞

Do they have any other times you could have your lashes done? I know you were excited for them! ❤️

Is the hotel nice apart from the issues with your room??

    Hi @Sandy_123 and @Biblioklept .

Believe it or not its the Hilton Kensington. The general manager came and got us a double room with non leaky shower and seat. He has the contractor looking at bad room as it was refurbished 3 weeks ago!! Something must have been permanently leaking to do that amount of damage so quickly.

He is giving us a meal on the house this evening and transport to the wedding tomorrow. That is generous and all I want is that duty manager to change his attitude and make sure it doesn't happen to anyone else.

Biblioklept I have to forgo lashes as noone has appointment now before the wedding tomorrow. I'm so disappointed 😞 as I had it all so well planned in advance. Its as well the wedding is tomorrow and not today! I'm going to catch a nap and try and cheer up.

Oh dear @Marydoll5 that sounds awful. Something like the Hilton are pretty good with fixing things though, I'm glad they finally helped fix the issue by getting you a good room and a meal on the house.

They'll often try to bend over backwards to make things right, I guess that's maybe why the Duty manager was so surprised you didn't come to them immediately? Not that it is an excuse for his behaviour or the way he communicated it to you. I'm glad things seem better though. Enjoy the wedding tomorrow!

Hey everyone, sorry not been on much the past few days just been busy with things. I've just got back home from having lunch with my nan. Hope your all having a good day despite the weather.

@Marydoll5 I'm so sorry your experiencing bad service, especially from a 5 star hotel in London. You'd expect for what your paying to stay there it should be an unforgettable experience, and not for the wrong reasons. When I went London last year I felt the attitude of people were very different to where I'm from, its like everyone is stressed in London. It certainly stressed me out more. Anyway hope you have a lovely time tomorrow at the wedding, i'll keep my fingers crossed for better weather and sorry you couldn't have your lashes done.

I think its about time the world just had 3 days a week, Friday, Saturday and Sunday. everyone wins then 😄

Hope you all have a good day.

Awww @Marydoll5 that sucks, I know how much you were looking forward to your lashes after having the test ones ages back!! Try not to fret too much though, I'm sure you're going to look amazing even without them! ❤️ A fancy dinner at the Hilton sounds lovely, even more so since it's free!! I hope you have an amazing time and it cheers you up a little!

    Is the wedding early tomorrow?

I'm tired out tk be honest

Poppy my cat 23 months old not very well

I took her to vet yesterday as I thought she had a cold

    Told me she's seriously ill

Not again I can't believe my luck. I've just lost 3 cats

Poppy has jaundice high temperature weight loss, they did a scan and blood tests inconclusive but says she has liver disease

Bloods showed high levels of white blood cells and high inflammation markers meaning infection, she had a viral infection I'd some kind,. They sending bloods away to a specialist to fet more information

Said it could be a congenital liver defect, like a shunt, hepatitis or leukemia

    All, sound awful

Been. Given antibiotics and steroids for her

They ring me when 2nd blood test is back and I'm. To take her back in 2 weeks

All this stress is not helping me

I haf to put bill on my tab.. I can't afford it

    Cats are my babies
