Sending warm thoughts and support your way @Zippy1983, and to anyone else that's struggling too.

Do you find this time of year particularly difficult?

That's such a beautiful way to start the day! Children enjoying themselves can melt most hearts

To be honest I think this time of year tends to bounce off my other mental health conditions. But it’s also the time of the year to make you think of family, however due to me not having contact with my family I don’t want to think of them. Plus it was always my ex wife’s favourite time of the year, but in all honesty I hate Christmas. I always preferred working Christmas when I was a support worker and have always treated it as a normal day. I’ve not even watched any Christmas films since 2022.

I’ve tended to find this time of year challenging as it plays off my other mental health conditions. I always preferred to work it during my time as a Support Worker. I’m not a fan of the festivities as it’s over commercialised and crammed down your throat for four months of the year. It’s always a reminder of family and in all honesty I don’t want to have a reminder of my parents, sister and other members of the family on my dads side of the family.

To me Christmas is always a reminder of the endless arguments I had with my ex wife, I’ll be glad next month to have my divorce finalised. Ironically the second divorce finalised in December ten years apart.

Christmas is definitely forced down your throat @Zippy1983, and it seems to be in shops earlier and earlier each year. It feels impossible to get away from which is tough when it's a difficult time of year for you.

Since selling my wedding ring earlier last year, something I wish I had not done so, but saying that wearing something that has your wedding date on the inside would of been a painful reminder.

I’ve since been wearing a titanium claddagh ring with the heart facing inwards for if your married. However today I’ve finally ordered the above ring as a full time replacement on my wedding finger, even though I will be divorced as of next month. I’m going to continue wearing it with the heart facing inwards to symbolise lost love and what I’ve lost. But it’s also a symbol of strength and growth in my life since that dark day in October 2026

I despise Christmas with a passion, never understood the need for it. by far the worst time of year. everyone gets stressed, shops go crazy, prices go up and they play ridiculous loud christmas music everywhere, not to mention everything shuts down for like a week and everywhere is crowded and busy.

I pray for the day Christmas is abolished.

My family ask me what I want for Christmas, and my answer is always to not celebrate Christmas.

Steady on, rubin, remember the last time you and I criticised 'core beliefs'. 🤔

Apologies i'm cranky for not being able to vape, still though I hate it, doesn't make sense.

    No offence to anyone.

I would be cranky too if I couldn't get a smoke! Gave up now, thankfully.

Is it healthy to drink or lick vape liquid

I have no idea, I have only ever smoked tobacco and occasionally with an extra added ingredient.

I could put the oxygen on and shove some vape liquid in it

It’s only the start of the day and I can’t shut off, millions of things running riot inside my head at warp speed. Just questioning my existence, my life’s choices, thinking of my family as my old man is 70 next week, then thinking of all the stuff I need to do in the flat and outside of the flat.

I’ve pushed myself the last few weeks, been to the cinema twice and been out to get my injections but then realised that it takes a mental toll on me, went to be on Saturday and couldn’t bring myself to get up until Tuesday Morning.

Like an eejit, I’m off to watch another film this Friday and I’m questioning about going due to how busy it’s going to start being and also gonna be full of kids as I’m watching Zootopia 2.

I am my own worse enemy, I do something, I buy something and I just end up criticising myself, getting angry with myself and then that all just sends me into a huge downward spiral.

You need to give yourself credit though you did those things, thats an accomplisment you should be proud of. Just take each day as they come. Sometimes it gets overwhelming when we plan or look too much in the future.

I am very sensative to noise and can't do crowds, so cinemas for me would be torture.

So I know i'm weird and everything, but does anyone else sleep with the light on? I've never been able to sleep in the dark ever since I was born.

Annoyingly though people have obsession on turning the light off when i'm trying to sleep and it instantly wakes me up and I have to ask them to keep it on.

I also have my own blanket I can't sleep without, and literally take everywhere with me.

Did 8 miles with Gus, minus 3 it was here too.

We got back about 04:30, and the silly sod was still going nuts around the garden with his outdoor Kong. I don't think he is ever affected by exercise, and would just keep going all day.
