    @Amberpearl Just to add to @Schildpad's suggestion - if you cover the cardboard in a black bin bag or another plastic bag of some kind, that might help keep the weather out a bit more while you wait for a fix. Even some bubble wrap might help keep the warmth in a bit.

    Sorry this has happened to you so close to Christmas. You're dealing with so much the moment and it sounds really difficult. Hope you can get your window fixed soon and things settle down with your health.

    @Amberpearl try not to think about the future i know it is very bleak but i would only worry when you know things will happen. i am trying to teach myself not to think too much about the future but i do understand it is very scary…

    Merry Xmas .. it is a bit cold but the sun is out.. it does not feel like Christmas….

    I guess we will have very cold January etc… But yes.. no snow … I love snow but then is a nuisance to walk on it when it freezes.

    I agree with you on the snow @Schildpad!! It's lovely and very pretty for the first day but then when it turns to slush and ice its just hard work!
