A heartwarming story from Asda's Stockton store

Man with cerebral palsy steps in to help young boy with cerebral palsy.
When an eight-year-old boy with cerebral palsy wasn’t sure if he had enough money to buy a big cuddly toy from our Stockton store, checkouts colleague Paul stepped in to help pay for it.
Paul, who has cerebral palsy himself, said: "I told the boy it was a magical dog and that it came alive when he went to sleep, and he got really excited. He said 'I hope I can get it, my mum said I can if I have enough money'. I then said to him that I'd go halves with him. He was really happy. I try to do something kind for someone once a month, even if it's just buying a cup of coffee."The boy's mum was so touched by Paul's kindness that she wrote to the store to thank him, saying: "What a wonderful man he is. He made a young boy very happy."
