    I haven't mentioned DLA/PIP!

DLA/PIP proposals had and have nothing to do with crippling ESA reforms already implemented!!!

"If you believe past activism has been futile.." - I haven't said it was futile. I said that national outrage died down until Labour returned to power 🤔

I have told you what needs to be done, PDQ. The 2011 AMENDED ESA regulations and the 2012 Welfare Reform Act need to be revisited by someone else on this forum.

This is so true. The majority of employed disabled people not in the public sector work for themselves. It's the only way we can reliably accommodate ourselves.

All the more reason to oppose the Tories shrinking the state.

    @Catherine12

Thanks for your message. See this news👇🏼

Even the The UN committee criticised Labour for failing to address “income inequality or reducing poverty,” which hamper “the progressive realisation of economic, social and cultural rights.’’ Starmer, Reeves and Kendall seem to take a sadistic glee in attacking the disabled through the platforms of the Tory media using ultra right-wing rags such as The Telegraph and Sun to stigmatise the sick and disabled.

    (Morning Star News,March 26,2025)

They’re pure evil.I do not think anyone can stand them!

They love to yap but can’t stand being challenged—and that says it all! Honestly, how can anyone throw a whole country into chaos and still pretend they’re doing good? It’s shameful.

But more importantly, I’m so glad to hear you’re no longer feeling scared. That’s a huge step, and you should be proud. 👏👏Many of us felt the same—I was in shock for nearly two weeks after those proposals dropped. But like you, I’ve turned that fear into fight.

As you and many others have said , let’s keep lifting each other up and standing strong against these sham proposals . We’ve found our voice, and we’re not backing down at any cost.

Catherine,It honestly made my day to see you in such positive spirits. Keep that momentum going and ignore the noise. We’ve got this.

    Best Wishes 🤗

I thought the reassessments weren't starting until April or after April next year? That's what it says in the PDF for the Spring Statement on point 13 under 'Reforming welfare to get Britain working' .

You have mentioned some really interesting stuff and exactly how I think, but I think if Tories have any sense they will vote against the cuts , they need to show their voters that they care even if they don't . If I were the opposition I'd be saying 'lets all vote against these cuts so we can gain back the voters we lost '

    That's just how i see it .

    Hey again Juls,

Your words, as always, feel like a warm hand on the shoulder in the middle of this storm we’re all trying to weather. Honestly, I’ve also been really struggling lately with relentless neuropathic pain, so hearing such kind and uplifting words about me truly means a lot. Thank you.🤗

You constantly remind us that connection, even in a digital space like this, can be a lifeline.( “Transformational Support”- as said by you)

I came across an inspiring article in The Guardian—A weakness can become your biggest strength”, featuring 26 brilliant disabled women.
A quote by Rosie Jones(Comedian) really stood out:

“Having a disability is not a disadvantage; it’s a different perspective… sometimes a weakness can become our biggest strength.”

That hit home. And honestly, it echoed what you’ve been saying here all along. The strength we draw from each other, especially in moments like these, is what makes this community so powerful.
Anne Begg’s (Former MP)words also stuck with me-about the struggle to be heard, especially as disabled people in a world that too often tries to silence or sideline us. And this dreadful Pathways to Work green paper? It’s a textbook example of that. Designed to confuse, divide, and demoralise. But despite the chaos they tried to create, what happened instead? We found each other. We got louder. We got sharper. We got organised.

I’ve said it before, and I’ll say it again: fighting is better than freezing. And we’re doing it not in isolation, but as one voice. You, Juls, have helped lead that charge-constantly reminding people they matter, that their voices count, and that they’re not alone. That’s no small thing.
You’ve also been there for me when I felt tempted to just take the easier route-to be quiet and let things happen. But that’s not an option for me , not when so many of us are being targeted and left behind. You helped me find my feet again when the ground felt shaky.

But this isn’t just about us-it’s about all of us. To the many amazing members of the Scope community, including our campaign team, who’ve been holding the line, sharing insights, supporting one another, and staying steady even when the winds of political spin from this ruthless government tried to knock us over—you’re the reason this forum works. You’ve kept the light on for others. And that’s how change begins.

And speaking of sparks-I’ve got to shout out @MW123.That post you shared about how people’s voices have actually overturned decisions, even forced U-turns? That was a shot of pure motivation. You helped switch that light back on for many of us. Thank you for that jolt of truth and hope. It truly revived me.

The battle is still very much on-but we’ve got momentum, we’ve got community, and we’ve got each other. And when this is over? Maybe we’ll have more than just a victory—we’ll have a reason to celebrate (I vote cake. Or a party. Or both!) 🎉🎂

For now, let’s just keep lifting one another, keep speaking out, and keep showing the powers that be what real strength looks like.💪🏻💪🏻

    In solidarity always ✌️
