So true we can't lay down and give up who else is thier to email can I ask what neurological pain you have the dentist said to me to ask my doctor to see neurologist I' have constant tingling in right hand and lips

I agree we need to keep motivated funny thing is I was on benefits when all these cuts was happening or debating didn't have a clue we need to do whatever we can like you said worked before it can work again we all need to work together

In life I'm quiet a strong person will always speak up for my beliefs won't take no BS from anyone not many fears overcome many dark times always be the person to stick up for the under dogs kind caring if I say so myself try to tackle head on but my fear has always been DWP the fear that slowly eats away at you the fear that stops you from eating sleeping sheer terror But with the help of this group I'm losing that fear don't get me wrong I have my days but it's not like it was before minutes hours of pure torment we have to keep pushing forward because once it's done it's done ! Any suggestions who to email next

24th may a ex army civilian has organised the great British strike so many marches all over country regarding everything starmer doing so the part we can play in NO spending online or shops spend noting we can show them how we control money

Reading this makes me relize no way can they get away with this !! Excluding people who can't feed themselves oh thier reason is people can use apps what apps can you use to feed yourself?? It's crazy to think of the idea let alone suggesting it

Catherine, I wrote a signed for letter to Keir Starmer, not an email, so I am hoping for a reply after Easter. It was not about me; it was about him. I asked, with genuine curiosity, how he justifies his actions after all he has said and done. I reminded him of his own words, describing a childhood where illness and financial insecurity loomed large, and how his family depended on the NHS and welfare state, not as abstract ideas but as lifelines. Whether they relied on benefits or NHS care, the principle remains: the state his mother needed then is the very one being dismantled now under his leadership.
I reflected on his memoirs, where he shared how his mother’s lifelong battle with Still’s disease left their family reliant on these systems. He spoke of the fear of medical crises, the exhaustion of caregiving, and his mother’s quiet dignity through decades of pain. Yet his government’s reforms to Universal Credit and PIP, halving support for new claimants and imposing rigid work search requirements on those with fluctuating conditions, would have punished his own mother for having better days between debilitating flare ups.
While he wrote movingly of learning compassion through her suffering, these policies seem to abandon that hard won empathy when politically inconvenient. The boy who depended on the welfare state now leads a government intent on shrinking it. The man who credits his mother’s illness for teaching him dignity now oversees assessments that strip it from others.
I questioned whether history will see this as honouring her struggle or betraying it. For those facing similar struggles today, these changes risk pulling the very safety net his family once saw as a lifeline. I asked him how he reconciles these policies with the compassion his mother’s suffering instilled in him. He has called the welfare system indefensible and fundamentally broken, but when his family relied on public services during her fifty year illness, was it broken then, or only now, as austerity prioritises five billion pounds in savings over safeguarding the vulnerable?

i think it's just highlighting the scores of less than 4 ….
for example preparing food … there's no question about not been able to cook food without assistance or the ability to use a cooker and microwave which is a 4 pointer….

Just a note to try to be kind about other people's communication styles where possible please. Everyone has different strengths and abilities and it's not always easy to know what's going on in someone else's life or how their conditions affect their communication.
I hope that the intention wasn't to offend here, but just remember to stay civil and supportive to other members. I've seen some brilliant support for each other on this discussion, so I hope we can move forwards with continued respect even if we don't always agree on everything 😊
