Sheffield University Research Project Recruitment for Adults with CP
Researchers at the University of Sheffield are asking adults with Cerebral Palsy to help them develop better tools to measure movement and walking. This study will explore whether wearable sensor devices can be used to measure people's mobility during their daily life. We think that this kind of tool could help to identify people at risk of worsening mobility and help adults with CP to self-manage their care.
To take part you would attend a single visit to our Movement Analysis Laboratory at The Advanced Wellbeing Research Centre (S9 3TU). You will be asked to complete some questionnaires about your health and quality of life, and perform some short walking tests. You'll then be asked to use wearable sensors at home while you go about your daily life.
We're looking for volunteers who live in South Yorkshire who have a diagnosis of Cerebral Palsy who are able to walk (with or without a walking aid). We can support participants' travel expenses to help them to take part.
