Hi @sandyp196,I love your doll,a lot of time and effort must have gone into it.2

I would love to be able to knit or draw, but my right had is so deformed can’t do much with it.All my muscles are wasting away,I have taken a big step and joined a gym, there is only 4 pieces of gym equipment I can use,I have no confidence in my self any more.My sister came with me,and we went round all the gym equipment to see what I could use.I have severe arthritis in both hips, both hands and feet, and both knees, had one knee replacement which went wrong,I’ve very
lumited movement in it,so can’t go on any off the cycling equipment or the rowing machine.I found this piece of equipment what I can sit on and hopefully with time will strengthen my upper body.I hate how I look I’m all skin and bones, for me to go to the gym and put pictures of me on here is a very big deal for me.Sorry if I shouldn’t have posted this on here, just wanted to share it with you all

Hello Gillian @gillian29 and THANK YOU for posting in KaleidoScope. Kaleidoscope was my idea initially and yes, you have posted in the right place. I couldn't be happier.
Given what your anxieties are, it was very, very courageous of you to make this post and you have my respect and my admiration.
And last but not least - hope you don't mind - but I think you look absolutely lovely and you have a gorgeous smile.
I will try to do some research, in fact, see if there is any specialised gym equipment available out there.
Warmest, warmest best wishes to you,
Richard10 -
JennysDad said:Hi @sandyp196 and thank you for posting. I love everything about your doll! What a beauty! And what beautiful work!
I'm wondering how this lovely picture came to be uploaded as it did, rather than filling the screen? Did you perhaps use the upload file tab, rather than the upload image? Not that clicking on the file is any hardship
Really, really lovely. I hope we'll get to see more as time goes on.
Warmest best wishes,

I am trying again to upload a proper pic of my doll. I hope that's ok

Hi to all,

Hi @Colourfull and welcome to KaleidoScope
I've been looking around but can't find a specific resource on here that would give you the answer to your question. It would probably be easier for you to Google it. I tried 'Art clubs near me' in the Google search and it brought a few up, and I found this https://lessons.com/art-classes#, among many other entries. You'd need to have a look at it yourself and input the data it requires, but I don't know if it's a commercial operation or what it is.
Scope covering the whole country (with the exception, I think, of Scotland) our members don't seem to combine in regional or district groups. As a mere volunteer I don't know how I could get access to knowing who is where in order to spread your enquiry around other Sheffielders
See if any of this helps, and don't hesitate to get back to me if I can be of any use.
Warmest best wishes,
Richard0 -
My creative side and hobby is creating sounds and using them in music creation.
I'm never going to be a pop star that's for sure but that's not the aim.
I put my headphones on and the creative process starts.
I can be lost in a mess of sound and engineering that sound .... creating new sounds.
I think I'm Pink Floyd at Abbey Road recording studios.
A drop of Irish occasionally enhances that illusion.
Thirty odd musical tracks here for better or worse ...... https://www.reverbnation.com/jackbackband9 -

I take photos of nature when I am walking to help me to be mindful and present when I am outside, as a recovering agorophobic. I enjoy playing with photo apps. I enjoy creative writing as part of a newsletter group and sometimes I submit to online sites like the mighty.com and write to recovery. I read fiction compulsively. Ive always enjoyed reading and researching but I couldnt do it for a couple of years due to my health issues and now that I can again I am so thanvkful. I try to express my recovery or related topics in writing it out. This started out as me blogging online privately as a tool, and developed from there.
I wrore this piece about Beinning as it is a topic or theme for mental health at the moment. For me its about taking that first step each time and being aware that it is movement or progress. I hope you enjoy it.Beginning● Every breath is a new beginning, a puff of air, pushing energy into being.● Every action is a beginning, a surge of movement , causing activity to occur.● Every thought is a beginning, a release of intention, whispering life into theuniverse.● Every step is a beginning, movement on a path to a destination of your choosing.● Every beginning is the start of something new and an opportunity to write eachnew page afresh.● Every beginning is a chance to be your best you, doing the best that you can, livingyour life the way you choose to.● Every beginning is saying sorry to regrets, forgiving yourself and others, letting goand moving on from that part which is done.● Every beginning is waking up, embracing each day as it comes, the sun rising andthe earth turning, welcoming today in anticipation.

Took me a long time to figure out using a piano style electronic keyboard and its MIDI connection. With a soft synth attached to a hard synth the crafting of sounds is almost limitless.
The beauty of MIDI is I can add endless synthesizer sounds. Not limited by the keyboards that have built in sounds.
I love being in the headphones world while I'm doing it but sadly I'm not well enough to do much anymore.3 -
Asperger’s
My Thought Process
I didn’t want to be here in the first place.
The voice says in my head
When I start talking, I forget to stop
I get tongue tied when I’m speaking, because my thoughts run faster than my mouth
I think that what you’re saying is interesting, the voice says in my head
While thinking about what you are saying I missed the rest of what you said
I had the perfect answer, but now you’re talking about something else
And now the perfect answer has gone straight out of my head
I’ll try to catch up with what you’re now saying instead.
I didn’t want to be here in the first place,
The voice says in my head
Now thinking
What else can I say instead?
My response just went over your head
I express myself better when writing,
So how is your day I ask?
Hoping you will lead the conversation
While I work with the emotions in my head!
The room has now become crowded.
Others have come over to join us, I smile I hope a welcoming grin,
Yet my brain is finding it difficult to control
The din of so many voices all jumbling in,
Words all jumping around, as bouncy balls all making sounds
I feel my head swim,
My pulse starts to race,
I’m anxious
I can’t keep pace
Now what can I do to save face.
Heart racing,
I look for safe retreat,
Waiting for the right moment, to get to my feet,
Wait,
What shall I say as I make my escape?
Panic tightens my chest
Can’t catch my breath
I’m sure I will die;
Dizzily I feel frozen in this place
I look upwards and silently say to the sky
I didn’t want to be here, you see, this is why
My leaving a blur
Muttered thanks
Excuses for leaving so soon
Now home safe as panic subsides,
Happy that I had survived
Awaiting the beginning of depolarization time
The analysis of every minute that has gone by,
From how lucky am I to have survived?
To
Why did they ask that?
Was my answer correctly made?
In a manner that didn’t offend?
I wish I hadn’t been there
I never know when the analysis will end
And
Another set of flashback to drive me round the bend
Awaiting triggers
To start the whole analysis
All over again
I didn’t ask to be there
Yet
It would have been rude not to attend.
Will this never end?
