    @Cher_Scope

    Thank you very much?

    I’m having a bad day because I didn’t sleep well because of nightmares caused by my PTSD, my Rheumatoid is flaring up because when I get really stressed my joints start hurting even more than usual and I am fed up having to repeat myself to my employer?

    @RAwarrior Aww I'm sorry you are having a bad day.  Nightmares can really stick with you and make you feel rubbish can't they?

    Try to unwind tonight and have an early night.  I have my fingers crossed tomorrow is a better one for you.

    @Cher_Scope

    Thank you so much for your kind words?

    The nightmares relate to my PTSD which I posted about today on the PTSD thread started by @male45.

    I am having problems with my employer because they bent over backwards to cover up for the bully but when I actually do need genuine help from them I have to repeat myself over and over again which is wearing me down physically and mentally?

    The Equality Act 2010 is supposed to help people like me but it’s meaningless unless employers recognise it and adhere to it.

    I am really frustrated because I watched a series of managers cover up for the bully who doesn’t do any work and just harms other people but because he threatens them with false complaints they give in to him. I however, want to work but I am not getting the support or understanding that I need?

    People who don't wear a mask in shops (not people with an exemption)

    People who wear a mask under their nose or chin.

    People who do not social distance.

    People who drive too close to your bumper! Especially in wet weather.

    also LED headlights, they are far too bright for other drivers at night and even more so in the wet at night.

    I agree with your first one @leeCal. I have always said I’d rather have an aggressive driver in front of me than behind then I can keep an eye on them and I am in control of what happens.

    I also agree with your second one but only for those who have them set inconsiderately. I have LED headlights on my car and when I got the car I kept getting people flashing at me as if to say I have my full beams on. I subsequently lowered the lights using the switch and everything is now fine but I see cars of the same make and model with blinding lights who obviously haven’t bothered to find out how to adjust them or just don’t care.

    I can’t remember if I have said this one before but on the topic of driving I will say people who get angry when you perform a safe and legal overtake on a country road.

    I have no issue with people driving slowly. I myself find it hard to drive on motorways and one of the things that makes it easier for me to do so is to drive a bit slower than the speed limit - around 60mph. So, I know first hand that some roads can be scary and driving slower can make you less nervous. And I accept that people may be nervous on country lanes.

    However, when I am driving slowly, I have no issue with people overtaking me, and neither should others. If someone wants to drive slowly on a country lane then that is up to them and they are perfectly entitled to do so but they have no right to dictate the speed of the drivers behind them - if people want to overtake the slow driver safely and legally then the slow driver should not get annoyed!

    @66Mustang sometimes if I’m being followed closely by someone I safely pull over and let them pass when I can. I like to poodle around these days between thirty and forty on country roads ?

    @leeCal that’s very considerate

    To be honest I also sometimes like to pootle along and just take in the sights, sounds and smells. :) I have a road near me where there are some great trees and I have been meaning to stop and take a picture and post it on here if I can...especially at this time of year as they look really stunning.

    oh.. I could put a lot in here as I'm a miserable old swine. haha!  but just off the top of my head

    1: People who type "would of " instead of "would have"
    2: People who record video on their phone in portrait mode (vertical video syndrome!)
    3: Modern video games, not happy with charging you £40 for a console game they then add lootboxes and in game gambling to bleed more money from you
    4: The death of comedy.  Comedians no longer stand there are tell jokes, they tell silly stories instead.  I loathe this with a passion, not a single comedian tells a joke it seems, just silly stories.  "I went to xx and saw yy" or "My  friend did this.. " or "I bought this and.."   not a single joke.   Comedy is dead,  bring back Ken Dodd, Tommy Cooper, Dave Allen etc.
    5: facebook  just a toxic cesspit that tries to steal your information (not that I use it)
    6: Apple devices, vastly overpriced, underpowered and with one of the most anti-consumer policies when it comes to repair and right to repair.   (got water damage?  sure.. independant repair shop "that's £60 please", Apple "oh, that needs a new mainboard, £660 please)
    7: Formula 1, used to be (imo) the greatest sport on the planet but since 2014, it's dull as dishwater and due to the way the rules are now laid out and the way engine development is frozen, no teams can even get close to Mercedes who have won for 7 very boring years and soon to be 8 as next year is the same.

    I could go on, but won't.

    @Steveoldone I agree with most of those he he

    Have you watched Tim Vine? He is quite funny in my opinion, he tells quick jokes and one liners but I don’t know if he is still active.

    Did you know Tim Vine is Jeremy Vine's brother?  Must be interesting conversations around their dinner table!

    There are other one liner comics as well...Milton Jones for example.  Not to mention Gary Delaney if you like more 'adult' one liners!

    @OverlyAnxious no I had no idea that they were brothers!!

    Very different career choices!

    They do have a bit in common though I guess, like making silly statements!

    Yes I like Milton Jones as well. I have heard of Gary Delaney but never watched him so will have to look for some clips of him.

    Bump, any more ideas to go into Room 101? :)

    We were just walking the dog and some cyclists came up behind but couldn’t pass us because people were coming the other way. When the other side of the footpath was clear they went round us and one of them tutted and shook their head and gave us a very dirty look. I’m not sure what they wanted us to do apart from not be on the path because they feel they have more right to be on it than we do.

    So, rude cyclists are going into Room 101.

    @leeCal,

     I also have trouble with cars that have LED lights as I can’t see properly when they are behind me and it does look like they are driving with full beams.

    I can’t stand tailgating especially when it feels like the driver is in my car because they are driving too close.

    Drivers who cut in from the right when the lane is for people turning right but because they don’t want to wait they cut in and cause traffic jams.

    People driving whilst using a mobile phone. I recently saw a woman driving holding her mobile phone out of the window filming!

    People who overtake then slow down in front of you.

    People who are desperate to pull away first at the traffic lights.

    People parking in Blue Badge spaces without a badge.

    People who use other people’s Blue Badge because they don’t want to pay for parking.

    @66mustang

    I nearly fell into a ditch recently when I went to see the squirrels as a group of cyclists came up behind me and I didn’t hear them. They are not allowed to cycle on that particular path but they always ignore the signs which clearly state that there is no cycling because the path is supposed to be an accessible path. I have had several near misses because of cyclists cycling at speed when I should feel safe to walk on an accessible path. I have tried to tell cyclists that they cannot cycle there but I met with verbal abuse. There are also extensive cycling paths in the area that they can use.

    @RAwarrior It’s a shame that it is OK to be so rude and unreasonable. When confronted they get aggressive because they know they are in the wrong and their pride won’t let them simply say “sorry”.

    As for the tailgaters when I get tailgated I tend to slow down, not to annoy them (although that is a convenient side effect) but because I have a car behind I need to drive more carefully to have room to brake less harshly in case a hazard comes up as I don’t want them going into the back of me. I also pull slightly over to the left to see if they want to overtake. If they don’t overtake then clearly they are happy driving at my speed so I am doing nothing wrong by them!

    To add to your list of driving ones @rawarrior and on a similar note to people using the right turn lane to get ahead...

    When there is a queue at a roundabout in the left hand lane to turn left, and no queue to turn right, people use the right hand lane and go all the way around the roundabout and take the left exit.

    I don’t actually think it’s illegal and it’s quite clever really but a bit frustrating when you are sat in the queue!
