Morning, how's your day going so far?

@lisathomas50 it’s sad how elderly people get punished for working hard and saving up isn’t it? It would seem they want people to just blow it all!0

I'm having a kind of mixed bag day today...
I had some good news this morning being informed I'd been placed I support group on uc so that was a big weight off my mind.
Also was put on Diazapam by mental health team on an as needed basis but when I requested it again from my gp .was told it had been stopped.
This worried me sick as its the only thing that can get me to get out the front door because of panic attacks, I only go out for medical appointments or when a relative takes me to see my son and I know the problems with addiction etc. but the things work.
Anyway my gp agreed that I could now get them on repeat but no more then the 8/10 a month I currently use which is a relief.
So that's the positive part, the negative bit is I'm having to pack a suitcase for my son for his move to supported accomodation on Monday...its a bit emotional, but also I'm having one of many of those days when I just can't seem to get anything done which is very inconvenient at the moment...I mean I'm going to have to iron clothes (shock, horror) and I've only managed so far to gather various personal items in a pile...I see me being up all night faffing about and getting nowhere..lol
Generally though, I'm thinking things will iron themselves out (I wish)
And everything that needs to be done will get done eventually..
Hope everyone has a great or at least ok day0 -
@66Mustang it is sad and it isn't helpful to the people who look after them when there is only paid help available1

Morning all I just want to share an amusing conversation I had earlier with my daughter.
She asked on a face call " could you live your life with out me in it?" In which I said.
"Yes. I have for 20 years before you arrived in mine, question is could you live with out me as I've always been in yours?" She looked very taken back lol and responded. "Mm do think your clever?"
Made me smile lol0 -
Thanks for sharing @Sandy_123, that is a funny story. You certainly stumped her with that answer it seems

How is everyone today0
-
I'm OK today @66Mustang but my dog harry isn't happy with the hair cut I gave him, left no tip again...
Hope you're well0 -
@Cress ha ha how do you know he isn’t happy? Is he whining or something? I didn’t know you had to cut dogs hair - we don’t on our dog!
I’m well but I managed to break my laptop again so now I’m stuck using my iMac and my iPad. I know that sounds like a first world problem but I’m really dependant on my laptop and do a lot of stuff on it that I can’t do on my other devices.

Oh that's a pain @66Mustang
He's a shih tzu so need to sheer him like a sheep with clippers, especially in the warm weather, he gets too hot...
Have you seen the specsavers advert for the farmer shearing his sheep and also his poor dog?
...harry's looking a bit like that dog at the mo...
Need to give him another go over but his clippers ran out of power...lol0 -
Haha0

I am not too bad but I have a nasty cold - a sore throat and a cough and every time I cough my throat hurts
Good luck with seeing the nurse0 -

-
Morning hope your feeling better @66Mustang im off to the hairdressers to be sheared lol0
-
Thanks @Sandy_123 I still have it but am feeling a little bit better today
Good luck at the hairdressers0 -
@Teddybear12 is it possible you were reading a post on a different page and now you are on the most recent page?
I believe if there have been lots of posts since you last clicked a thread it picks up from where you left off, then when you click the thread a second time it takes you to a page later, giving the illusion that a load of posts have disappeared.

We have been decorating my bedroom today, it’s looking good, a lot fresher and cleaner

@66Mustang oh nice what colours you gone for0
-
@Sandy_123 I went for grey walls with one mustard yellow wall and same colours for the accessories too
I know they are a pretty common combination at the moment, and I don't like going with fashion as it always changes, but I've always liked those colours before they became popular so I decided stick with what I like
