I've never bothered with having an assessment recorded. I don't really see the point because you can't use the recording, (unless it's professionally transcribed) if you need to go down the MR/Tribunal route.It's your decision whether you request the report before the decision is made but it does tend to cause a lot more needless anxiety.Good luck and please let us know the outcome.1

I mean it's up to you if it was me I would probably would even though I hate things recorded as the assessors don't decide weather you get it or not it's the judges they might have another name but I don't know what you call them but for the sake of this lets just call them judges. The assessors might see things differently as they don't have your illnesss but you do. Just think of it as another pice of evidence.1

They are called decision makers. A judge is someone at a Tribunal.

I know tbh I'm at the stage of not sleeping either due to pain as every part of me seems to be so sore and tbh I definitely think anxiety and stress is making fibromyalgia worse then I have also to contend with my IBD thankfully I have a telephone consultation on Monday with my gastroenterologist and on Thurday I have a zoom meeting with the pain management so hopefully they will have some suggestions to help atm.
@Lou67 I'm so pleased your assessment time went by quickly for you, hopefully I will be the same. I plan on taking pain relief beforehand to help get me through the assessment and hubby won't be at work that day and has promised me he won't do any overtime that weekend as he knows that if he is not here their is a good chance I won't manage the assessment due to my anxiety, he is my rock and has been since I was a teenager.
Anyway fingers crossed you hear good news soon Lou67 🙏 🙂

Morning everyone I had a missed call from a mobile so I called it back and it was to do with my pip assessment on Sunday asking if I was still OK with it, explaining the call will be from a with held number and she told me the lady's name and that she was a nurse.
Is this the norm? Especially with a mobile number not being withheld!

@Binky1234
Hi and I hope your doing ok today,
I only got a call the day before to ask me if I was still ok to go ahead.
You getting the call today is probably better for you, as it has let you know you are definitely getting a woman assessor.
Im so glad for you.
I hope you can relax over the weekend.
Take care ❤️0 -
@Lou67 thank you for your swift reply when I read your post I breathed a huge sigh of relief.
Yes definitely a female and a nurse which I'm glad off.
I'm hoping this nurse knows all about my health problems and as seen 1st hand how debilitating they are.
Will post on Sunday and let everyone know how it went.0
