Hiya I was just thinking about you there.I want to wish you luck for tomorrow, just take your time answering your questions, and keep a drink beside you incase you need it.
Make sure your phone is fully charged if it’s your mobile you use.
Take care you’ll do great ❤️1 -
Well the assessment is over. Can't say for definite how it went but the lady was so nice and the meds my GP definitely helped me relax.
Waiting game now and tomorrow I'm going to phone for a copy of the report.
The DM decision can take between 6-8 weeks and sometimes as long as 12, so waiting game now.
I thank each and everyone on this forum who has helped and supported me.0 -

I hope you won’t have to long to wait, I know everyone is different but i received my letter 14 days after assessment, I couldn’t believe it.You can relax a bit now and take it easy.

Today I was quite amazed as I received my medical assessment and I hope the DM goes with the report 🙏
I only requested this report on Monday morning.

Thanks for sharing this with us @Binky1234. I am sure this will be invaluable for anyone experiencing anything similar. Also, I can imagine it's a relief for you0

I'm so upset ever wish you could reverse time.
Today I called PIP just to see how things are going and I was told that a letter is on its way great I thought a decision has been made only for the lady to say no a decision has been made but needs to be 2nd checked that I have the right decision so now I'm in an absolute panic at what the letter is that has been posted out, hopefully will have it tomorrow and I will update.
Just thinking all sorts at what the letter is or could be and yip all negative thoughts, just the way I'm feeling today.
Wish I had never phoned as I've been on tender hooks all day.
Having my comfort food atm tea and tea biscuits.0 -

Aww so sorry you are all on edge, it’s a horrible wait, I really hope things work out for you.
Just such a nightmare having to wait.
Fingers crossed for a great result for you. Be thinking off you.
Take care ❤️1 -
Thanks @Lou67 tbh I think I'm getting in a tizz as I have my assessment report and if the DM goes with it I will definitely have an award.
Wish I never knew about the letter although they did say if I phone back on Thursday more than likey they will be able to tell me if I've been awarded, again the lady at DWP was ever so nice.
Think I would go round the twist if were not for this forum, glad I found you guys tbh.0 -
@Binky1234
More than likely the DM will go with the report it’s highly unlikely they go against.
But if your like me it’s hard to be positive until we know for definite the outcome.
I pray you find out within a day or 2.
Yes it’s a great place for support and advice.
Al be thinking off you ❤️1 -
@Binky1234

Didn't they tell you what the letter is about? Has a decision been made or not? Confused by this comment.Binky1234 said:I thought a decision has been made only for the lady to say no a decision has been made but needs to be 2nd checked0

Oh Poppy I'm still in bits tbh
When the lady said that a decision has been made but it needs to be checked by a 2nd DM, then in the same breathe she said a letter has went out and I asked about the decision and she said she did not know what the letter was just a letter has went out.
I've cried and cried as I fear the worst, just wish this was over as its like a living nightmare for myself.
My pip was today and it went in as scheduled the usual amount.0 -
All that worry over nothing really!
Letter arrived in white envelope, basically a progress letter stating we now have all the information we need to decide if we can award you Personal Independence Payment.
I called after letter arrived today and asked about the award only to be told no decision has been made to date and to give it another 4 weeks. The gentleman apologised what I was told yesterday and I should have been told a standard progress letter has been sent out and once a decision is made then I will receive another letter and it will be a decision letter.
So I'm not calling again as although according to the man I spoke to today basically said no decision has been made that lady yesterday had me worried sick so I've decided to quit while I'm ahead mentally and not phone again until a decision has been made.1 -
I think receiving the report makes a lot of people even more anxious, even if the report is in your favour. I totally understand just how stressful the process is having been here myself many times.The best thing to do is try to focus on something else. Once the decision is made you will be contacted. We do usually advise up to about 12 weeks once the report was returned.0

@Binky1234
Oh that’s a blinking shame all that stress over nothing. Glad you got the letter and at least now know what’s going on.
I hope you don’t have to long to wait, stay strong.

Just going to do as Poppy and Lou advice chill, stay strong and focus on other stuff.
Once again thanks everyone 💕1 -
