I'm sorry but I had to laugh at your comment. You know why 💛

I can't wash my hair myself and need help getting into the shower. I also need help to the toilet - Crohn's and very limited mobility don't work well together. Sorry if that's TMI but it's a fact of life for many of us.

Who is going to assess this and make the decisions that with regards to the fact that 'many conditions will improve'.

    Please keep in touch

oh thank you 🙏. So if I don’t get a letter to migrate can I decide to migrate myself and keep that higher rate ?

can only hope that this will be watered down and if I’m reassessed under LCWRA that I’ll stay in the same group but I’ve tried applying PIP and I wasn’t accepted so god knows what’ll happen in a couple of years. If I’m forced to interact with the job centre and even if I’m reassessed I will have no choice but to indulge in dangerous behaviours which puts me at risk to cope. Im hoping that most of this won’t go through if I’m honest cos it will cause me serious harm and if I can I’m going to put that on the consultation, not like they will care

The TP is only given on managed migrations (when they send you the letter), if you would have no TP because UC is more than what you currently get, then you could initiate your own migration with no financial loss and the higher award, although I am not sure if there is any downsides in doing this. Maybe someone like Kimmy87 or poppy knows the answer with more certainty.

Oh of course . I’ve been diagnosed cervical spondylitis since my last assessment due to the pains in my neck and arm/s so I struggle most days with all of it . That’s where they catch you , award 2 for something when you should get the 4

Apparently the idea to abolish NHS England was all part of the plan to give the Government more control over the Health and Benefits system by taking decisions away from g.ps and access into 'Vanguard ' Rishi Sunaks Wife's company (apparently).Keir Starmer has said its so as not to duplicate departments. But it simply means that the Dwp will have even more powers led by Government as over 9000 job loses will be Immediate with NHS England gone

for those of us in LCWRA of UC, did she say our LCWRA element won’t be reduced until next April or am I misunderstanding? so we will keep getting the LCWRA amount + the basic rate for the rest of the year, at least?

(sorry if that’s a silly question but I’m so confused and am trying to sort out my budget for next few months)

Possibly, as far as I know they could turn them back on at a flick of a switch so they may have even announced after they had resumed. However WCAs were not stopped completely, it was just the automatic WCAs, they could still be triggered manually by staff.

Absolutely agree. Like you, I've been feeling really ground down, but it also makes me angry.

People who have no idea of the situation are making decisions about those who have to live with a situation on a daily basis.

I notice Ed Davey's keeping very quiet, despite the fact he has always mentioned his disabled son and his wife with MS.

I'm caught in two minds reading the responses here, some are ok with things, some are desperate.

I don't know anyone who is going to employ someone who has CPTSD and Rage orientated disorders, that was why I was let go of my last job.

Only in Britain where it's a crime to be screwed in the head, or physically incapacitated, nowhere else. I really don't like this country as you can tell, British don't get enthusiastic about anything other than Football and making vulnerable people's live a living hell.

It won't be reduced at all, it will be reduced for new claimants.

I have an opinion due to capacity, that not everyone will get reassessed before the WCA is scrapped, the WCA might be many years before its scrapped though so it is possible.
I also accept Albus point that these are "plans" not necessarily will become reality, although have the opinion given cross party support and a massive majority, they are plans with a high probability.
