you are right:
- The managed migration of around 800,000 claimants of income-related Employment and Support Allowance (ESA) only, or incomed-related ESA and Housing Benefit, has been brought forward, having previously been delayed to 2028/29. The DWP began sending migration notices to these claimants in September 2024 and aims to notify all claimants in this cohort by December 2025.
- The DWP plans to move all legacy benefit claimants to UC by March 2026, completing the UC rollout and closing all legacy benefits by this date.

I absolutely agree with you. I was more than surprised that she had homed in on my £50 cash withdrawal. Not sure if it was just a bit of "we have to be seen to exert our control" thing of just ticking boxes. Aside from that she was actually quite ok. What really worries me is if we get assessors who are control freaks…

I read this morning I think on the DNS new site that DWP have a report explaining why the sudden increase in pip but they’re refusing to release it until after the spring budget. So lying to the public that it’s ppl faking MH ADHD Autism , while they have a report explaining the increase already .

The Consultation questions are ridiculously worded. I've been looking at it and geniunely don't know how to answer it. They're not asking questions/feedback on the things that all of us are worrying about.

Yahoo news has an article giving the key dates for the different changes, unfortunately I'm not very good at links, maybe someone else could link it

Try that, fingers crossed.

But if they legislate the damn 4ts in PIP in this session, we're done, as assessment will be based on this.

So a estimated 600,000 of us on LCWRA but not PIP will be dropped like a sack of hot potatoes and recieve no health element money and suddenly be expected to look for work despite being put into the previously unfit for work "support group".

Is this is the article you were thinking about? :

just thought I’d add this here incase anyone hasn’t seen it. Atleast two years fight back have said

I know but it won’t come into effect until nov 2026
A lot can happen till then

Under the new proposals, the eligiability criteria will be tightened by November 2026 to apply for PIP, so it might be worth trying to apply before 2026.
Sorry if most of you know this but I just want to clarify about PIP (as I didn't know this for years): You CAN have PIP alongside other benefits including UC/ESA, it's not means tested (so doesn't matter how much money or savings you have/don't have) and you can get it in or out of work. It can also increase the amount of UC/ESA you currently get.
With this in mind I've compiled a (hopefully) useful, short guide about PIP and applying for it covering the whole process. I know it's an often terriying process for people. I've only been through it once so far in late 2023/2024.
Would it be OK to post the guide in the forum? Would anyone find it helpful to have that? I don't want to bombared people with info and clog up the forum.

That's cruelty at its finest.

That's absolutely mental. So is it that you can't get Health Element money if you don't have PIP?
0 -
Please go ahead and post them. I look forward to reading them with many thanks.
2 -
Yes and also at the same time they are making it harder to qualify for the PIP award…barbaric

They are going after mental health because they realise this country has made too many people unable to function. They are basically going to say mental health was a trend and now everyone is better.
2 -
Yes but i am on it for long standing ME Syndrome, i would imagine the bulk of the 600,000 on LCWRA are on it for reasons that are not related to mental health but still everyone is going to be caught up in this and suffer.

Not if nobody does anything. Action needs to be taken instead of a few statements here and there that achieves nothing otherwise this will happen. If it does this country will be a third world country and very quickly will decline economically. It is a very stupid thing.
