They wouldn't settle in countries like Germany or France if they've got family here; some would feel desparate to be with their family. And with the rise of the far right I can understand why they wouldn't want to settle in some places despite its' 'safe' appearance. I hope we always have compassion and offer asylum to those in genuine need. Big mistake cutting overseas aid, they'll be many consequences of that government' choice.

I hope so

Yes they must enjoy it, because both parties are constantly changing the rules and making it more difficult for us. Fear and uncertainty is the enemy of people with severe mental health problems. All they ever do is create more uncertainty that leads to fear that leads to my feelings like today: what's the point of going on?

So what else can they possibly do other than that in green paper

IMO
migrants, asylum seekers etc…
That’s not the issue. If you look at the figures the UK government spends less on welfare than many other countries in Europe
They spend less on disability benefits than many other European countries too.
every European country is seeing and going to see high levels of immigration wether you like it or notAs far as I can guess everyone is a migrant in Europe

PIP POINTS
Hello all!
Interested in your thoughts, assessors are notorious for under scoring but so are DWP. I personally 100% got scored 2pts when I should have had 4pts last year at a review. When I questioned this with DWP, they said, you have enhanced for both, you can't go any higher. I said, are you saying leave it because there is nothing to gain further? He said, yes.
My husband this year got enhanced both too due to a tumour. The dwp at MR stage awarded enhanced/enhanced said, you may see some points lower than you think you should be awarded but that's just how we score but you have enhanced and so questioning it won't better anything as you are at the highest you can be. My husband did score 4pts in one but still underscored in others.
How can they do this 4 point rule when they underscore and openly tell you they do but it's ok because overall you have enhanced! I'm sure we can't be the only ones they have said this to?? Surely this practice should be addressed and called out.

I am similar
My last two assessments I scored less points than I feel I should have on some descriptors but I never challenged it because I got enough overall points for high rate on both elements.

I’m trying to understand why Reeves is doubling down and even stating she’ll increase benefit cuts today. She’s quoting the OBR again but the decision to do this is hers alone( and Pat McFaddens!) I wonder if she’s going to announce something REALLY unpalatable to everyone in the country in her statement today so she’s softening the blow by targeting benefits again.
She should stop changes to small businesses taxes and their NI rises… that would give her headroom? These businesses are going to fold or layoff staff… adding to benefits bill. CRAZY!Nothing she pontificates about is in place yet. There is no AI systems to do civil service and NHS jobs yet. There are no teams of highly trained work coaches nor are there millions of jobs just waiting for disabled people. She’s marooned herself on Fantasy Island. I do think she’s on borrowed time.. her fiscal inflexibility will be the key to her demise.

All done by design this is part of the plan and people can't see it

Get rid of people in civil services who will do assessments do you think thier deliberately destroying DWP

This is actually a huge factor. These cuts to the disabled will mean they can only spend on absolute priorities, basic food, trying to keep house etc Debts will soar because loads of bills will remain unpaid, any credit, rent arrears, loans etc. She’s apparently trying to get down debt..does she not see the bigger picture? We’ll be forced to just pay priorities.. everything else will remain unpaid.

Hello. How many of us are there, I wonder. I found it odd they said the same to my husband this year and he didn't even bring it up. It's like it was scripted/preempted. When I heard it, it sounded exactly the same as mine in 2023. I looked into it and found a lady called Charlie on YouTube and there is a video of her saying they wont award the right points and she even describes someone telling her the same thing. I think she said to them 'are you telling me discreetly to be quiet and take the award' and she said the person chuckled and said basically yes. Something is very wrong here.

and on Friday all mp's will be granted a wage rise of 2.8% (average rise of £2500 per year)
i know it's an independent body that decides this but one thing is for certain … they won't refuse it !
