Absolutely worried day and night. Can't sleep and just can't understand how they can get away with what they're doing. It seems nothing will stop them as they're hell bent on the welfare disabilty cuts. They don't seem to have a clue how devastating the effects will be on disabled people and the long term sick with chronic health conditions. Just as I have been awarded PIP, after 2 years of appealing, the rug is being pulled from under my feet. It's like Saturn is laughing just when life is made a little more bearable. I always feel ashamed of my health conditions as my own family never believed or accepted them so I feel embarrassed yet I feel absolute empathy for anyone else.

They're stigmatising amd dehumanising us and doing their damn hardest to inflict more hardship and immeasurable suffering. HOW is this allowed??? It seems that no amount of protesting is making any difference..they turn a blind eye and are deaf to all pleas. I feel sickened by it as the results will be catastrophic for us all.

Certainly, why not? They are really driven politicians.

Like you I’m also clueless about politics, but I’m passionate about people and disabilities. We need someone really fierce and bold to lead a movement that shakes up Parliament.
It is clear that the current government is not just clueless about disabled people. They seem completely out of touch with everything a government should be doing for its people. Every time they speak, they seem more focused on blaming previous governments, saying things like we inherited this or we inherited that, instead of taking responsibility and making real changes. It is a frustrating and ego-driven approach.

But until then? If you have to be on PIP daily living to get LCWRA, will this mean those who haven't been transferred from DLA yet will not be eligible?

Labour are a 75% working class cabinet and they are going to vote in the worst reform in HISTORY for the poorest in society and disabled people. They should be embarrassed with themselves.

Not the worst. The most damaging welfare reform took place nearly ten years ago following a sleight of hand within 2012 reforms. Universal Credit was introduced in 2013, paused then rolled out because it was too late to turn back.

The 2012 and 2015/16 Acts need to be revisited in order to stem those changes because they matter more than ever now !!!

Neil Couling retires tomorrow and I've no idea who will replace him. I've posted a question about this and nobody seems to know or be concerned. I am very concerned because he has created a monster and now he's sodding off.

I dare say that I and many here are interested in what will happen during their lifetime, and not in 100 or more years. I have not noticed a single welfare state on this planet. Although I have visited many countries. Compared to other government expenditures, spending on the disabled is a mere dust. Only the greed of the ruling classes prevents them from spending money on the disabled and pensioners.

If I am not mistaken, pensions and disability payments to military personnel are included in other budget items and have nothing to do with the issue being discussed here.
