Hi. Its from benefitsandwork.co.uk. if you read through it it looks like the government are trying to get everything sorted by May so they can rush the changes through without proper consultation
0 -
Can they do that ? Apparently doesn't need to go through lords I feel scared now
0 -
So am I and everyone else. This is shocking, but that's what it's looking like
0 -
Saying 27 mps voting against cuts that's not enough to halt it ?
0 -
I hope to god somebody's going to take legal action. What they're doing is so wrong
0 -
Starmer is putting the changes to a vote which means it will become the law of the land, I guess the Lords could amend the changes but I'm not sure.
0 -
Awful what can we do
0 -
Says can't take to judical court as putting through as money something
0 -
No money bill just needs royal assent lords can hold up by it still will pass that's it done for

Hi Guys! As this is my first post since joining i hate for it to be negative, but I really don't think petitions and emails to your local Mp are going to work. Kier and Co have absolutely no morals whatsoever and will do everything they can to push it through. Charities and the like need to be alot more vocal via social media instead of sitting meakly in the corner telling us to sign petitions. Maybe behind closed doors they are doing more? But all I see on this forum and elsewhere is people( I include myself)with different disabilities suffering mental and physical anguish not knowing what the hell is going on and wondering If they are going to forced into further poverty. It's heartbreaking đź’” This gov is truly evil.

So starmer putting pip through as money bills cannot be challenged in court or by house of lords only delayed what's the next thing to do if no one can challenge it ?

Thing is this "4 point rule" surely would require a consultation? We know their Green Paper will get challenged.
2 -
the 4 point rule is not part of the consultation.
I think that’s why they can vote for it so soon.
Wether that can be legally challenged, I don’t know

This gets worse by the day. What an evil diabolical government this is
4 -
Oh no that means we are buggered

Wheres this information from ?
0 -
If it's so easy why haven't other governments done this
0 -
I emailed two of these MPs - linked to Parkinsons and Osteoporosis and got back "sorry can't help - your not in my area" so don't bother !!
0 -
I cant find anything about money bill where did that information come form
0 -
This is whats wriiten on Benefits & Work, I dont know where they got it from but there must be something in it for them to post it.
There are growing reports that Labour aim to introduce a bill in May and, if it certified as a money bill, the Lords will not be able to amend or delay it for more than a month, meaning the PIP and UC cuts could be  on the statute book by the end of July, ready to be implemented next year.
