I newspaper reports on the high number of red wall who will lose pip . Daily express reports reeves going on a possible £100 billion spree in red wall areas . So is this trying to but back the votes they’ll lose due to people there losing pip ? Would be grateful if anyone who can read the I newspaper article could screenshot and post please

Hi Squirrel 🐿️
That didn't sound as though it went very well for you. 😔 I am sorry to hear that.
It's quite true that it's the luck of the draw on the day, with who you get, whether they will be half way reasonable or completely unreasonable.
It is difficult, I agree to get the situation over to them with fatigue and in your case, pain. I hope that you might consider a suggestion from me.
Over many years now, most of the 21 years that I've had M. E. I have used Benefits and Work. Their benefits guides really do help you to word your answers in a way that the DWP will accept.
I'm afraid that their information costs £20 a year but I think that it's a small price to pay if it could save you thousands.
They also do guides on MR and appeals too.
Here's an article from the Fiancial Times that was put on here yesterday that you may have missed. It's good to see that they are backing down a little at last. It needs to be a lot more though.
I believe that the suggestion in the article that ministers may try to use to pursade the MPs who are rebelling against the cuts to back down is very unlikely to work. I think that MPs will want much more generous consessions than that, with what I have read about them.
I hope that you are not feeling too down after your experience. 😊

Four times as many over 60's score 4 points or more on Enhanced DL than those who don't!
429,000 v 102,000
More older claimants score 4 points or more in at least one activity on Standard DL
53,000 v 11,000 teenagers (no surprise there)
More older claimants score 4 points or more in at least one activity on Enhanced DL
429,000 v 154,000 teenagers (no surprise there)
Once again, four times as many over 60's score 4 points or more on Enhanced DL than those who don't!

Morning juls,
Yes it can be quite devastating if you get bad luck during your pip assessment. Even the dwp agreed the tribunal had erred in law . Even the legal rep helping me had never come across anyone so unlucky . Over the years I think the ordeal has calmed down but now we find ourselves back at square one as labour have given the green light to the assessors to terrorise us again. It’s the unfairness in the system that I hate . Anyone who had my assessor would have been treated the same as me as she had no compassion just an agenda to refuse pip to anyone and everyone.
I read the Financial Times piece yesterday. I read it as they’ll keep the 4? Point rule but anyone who doesn’t get a 4 point but has a high score so get enhanced keeps pip. So standard is all but stopped , apart from the 13% who get a 4 on standard. Is this how you read it ? Passerby reads it differently in his reply to me above. It’s confusing to tell as I couldn’t read which post of mine he/she responded to as the comments reply section going a bit weird this morning.1 -
secretsquirrel1Online Community Member Posts: 1,283 ChampioningMay 28Passerby28 May 2025It’s terrible that they can remove points during reassessment. Mist conditions don’t improve, in fact they get worse with age .
I definitely think there should be set rules as it all seems to be down to luck . Even the 10 year light touch , I’ve asked so many people how they’re awarded yet no one really knows. We do know.
"The benefit ends so as to allow the reassessment process to begin."
Points aren't removed but awarded under whatever rules are in place. DWP guidance is updated and shared after the event.

Thank you for posting this bton. It just gets worse for them . They claim they need to take away out benefits due to this invisible black hole yet not only will they be taking money from us they’ll probably be giving it straight to other groups so the benefit bill won’t decrease at all , it will increase as we go to tribunal. Not to mention the fact that after realising that by trying to save 5billion they’re upsetting red wall so trying to bribe them with 100 billion. I can’t help feeling that they’re just bribing everyone now to vote against the disabled no matter how much it costs .

They seem to be u turning for everyone but us though to stop the cuts to pip and continue as we are wont cost extra . It’s just pure hate on their part imo, nothing to do with money.

Starmer runs number 10 like its a court room as a judge he can hide behind those ridiculous wigs and act doesn't need a personality has to be ruthless to win cases that's what he should have stuck at ! I wonder if they cry at night can you imagine millions of people despise you does money power really make you that thick skinned?? I think with kendell she truly doesn't care she's like a jack Russell at your ankles pathway to work pathway to work must get pathway up and running like planned I can imagine her ripping up her office reeves looks like she hasn't slept since she got in and rayner might as well be staring out the window whistle why you work .... kendell be whistling through her teeth like a boiling kettle if this gets halted or watered down to mush

Whatever reputation he gained over the years shattered the moment he got into power people was happy at first saying he's for disabled people he's for himself he will go and retire after this with his big fat pension
