Not about welfare reforms as such, but checking on 'facts' purported in this Spending review:

It's all politics, isn't it. The Tories themselves were planning, ultimately, even more severe cost-cutting to benefits, but since they tanked to become 4th behind even the Lib Dems in popularity, they're changing their tune to make it look like they're friends of the disabled. Mel Stride was the worst, back then! Equating all mental health issues to be feeling "a bit down and bluesy" ffs! He banged on and on about slashing PIP and LCWRA, and now he's accusing Labour of cost cutting and not getting reform right? This sounds to me like the Tories are planning to vote against, as hoped. I wasn't sure the other day when Hunt suddenly whirred awake and said his nasty piece, but despite that, with this statement from Stride deliberately timed to make Kendall look inept today, I get the feeling they'll go for her in the vote. And his comment will not have escaped her notice!

I was shocked at Mel Stride saying it. Feel like I'm on a roller coaster ride everyday with this all.

Remember, Sunak was sending thousands of unfortunates to Rwanda, right up until he didn't ( I seem to remember it was about half a dozen volunteers ended up going for cash and accommodation).
Kendall will likely play hardball all the way, too, right up until she has to make some concessions. That's the theory anyway!

Report in the guardian says reeves claims reforms may be tweaked. Don’t know if it’s any different to what we’ve heard so far . If someone can screenshot it please that would be great

As human beings we are asking why they being so cruel the answer is this is noting to them starmer as a human rights lawyer supported the most dregs of society vile individuals knowing they was guilty it's all about the win and he doesn't care who it effects look at gaza no ceasefire no food water we are looking at someone very sinister he won't care and I bet he hasn't read half letters from charities ect he will move heaven earth to get this through he is definitely one of the most sinister pm this country ever experienced

It is soul destroying and certainly a rollercoaster designed to break us by some very evil sinister individuals I have moments of pure dread and panic and like yourself have dark thoughts kendell is sadistic and starmer and reeves thier putting the worse out there to see what they can get away with let's hope dpac and people in Wales can get them on lack of consultations all we can do is keep on emailing mps and human rights email addresses on dpacs page we live to fight another day things that starmer has proposed is falling around him public schools waspi women illegal immigrants building on land with wildlife everyone's fighting back it may look like thier in control but they are not hold in there it's not over yet written with hope

New day many emails to be sent come on its the 12th got couple of weeks to torment the hell out of our mps don't worry hiw many emails you sent I've sent 40 to mine yh not responding hey ho let's emailing Mel stride thanking him for his great speech against the horrific benefit cuts play them at thier game so I will email him and look up others to email preferences will be tories greens lib dems COME ON last push dont ever think what's the point or they WON and that is not happening she's doubling down you know what so can we !!!!!

The government is using primary legislation to push through major changes to disability benefits, such as tightening PIP rules, removing the extra health element of UC for new claimants, and scrapping the WCA, without public consultation. These plans will go straight to Parliament to be debated and voted on by MPs, bypassing input from disabled people and the wider public.
That is why it is important to contact ministers and MPs now. Catherine, you’ve done sterling work reaching out to so many already. Sadly, many MPs do not fully understand how the benefits system works or how these proposed changes will devastate their disabled constituents. So, it’s important to raise awareness and provide clear, lived experience evidence to help MPs make informed decisions.
Meanwhile, there is a public consultation on other proposals in the “Pathways to Work” Green Paper. This includes plans to reform Access to Work and merge contribution-based benefits into a new Unemployment Insurance scheme. Disabled people, charities, and others are invited to give feedback on these topics until the end of June.

All this press doesn't help ! If they did u turn on welfare they would look even weaker all about egos I emailed Mel stride today we have to keep pushing forward with this time running out
