One possible concession on welfare (that I’ve heard talked about) is to change the PIP rules so you need to score at least a 3 instead of a 4 to qualify. @resfoundation say that would hit 35 % of people on PIP daily living compared to 46% now, 314,000 fewer people( ITV )

🤞Hope it gets chucked out it's so toxic along with the government

Richard Burgeon response to this:-

Let’s be totally clear: under this so-called concession, a disabled person who needs ALL the following would still lose their PIP:

*help cutting up food

*help washing below the waist

*help dressing their lower body

*supervision managing toilet needs

Unacceptable.

Jeremy Corbyn is a good guy rubbish what Starmer did to him

3 points is silly, half of the criteria don't have a 3 point option, so you are going to have people disadvantaged if they are claiming on a criteria that only has 2 and 4 point options.

Making disability about points and numbers is already pretty tacky. Now trying to define what makes a 'real' disability by adding up those numbers is…

Nobody claims PIP for fun. The process is hell on earth.

He is a decent guy 👍theres a story out in ipaper

Can't see it though behind a paywall

I'm not against reforming benefits for example getting medically trained staff to do assessments, the encouragement for community projects to build confidence on a voluntary basis but this is an act of cruelty and cowardice.

Labour's front bench, the Tories and Reform are not friends of disabled/incapacitated people. Credit to the DUP MP's who've signed that amendment, see they're a Conservative party but they're against making the lives of the vulnerable a further hell, why can't Reform or the Tories follow suit? What is their problem?
