Hi MW, I am so sorry you are battling such a serious illness 🤗 I do hope your MP is better than mine, gosh, mine is so young and arrogant, if she was my Daughter she would not get away with that attitude. I am pleased your MP has promised to follow up on your questions, lets see if you get the response we all hope for, especially as it pertains to you and your situation. They all live in this bubble where they do nothing to help the people they are meant to serve. They have been elected as MP's yet also know nothing about the very nature of the things they are voting on. We live in very scary times and our future looks even more scarier, what will become of the disabled and ill folk, at this moment in time, very few seem to care at all, we are seen as a costly burden. I really believe the numbers entitled to any form of disability benefit will nosedive when changes to the assessment criteria are made, they will want that money back to fill that ''black hole'' we are all so sick of hearing about.

Following a review, a number of comments have been removed as they completely go against the community house rules. We appreciate when tensions are high during incredibly crucial moments.
However, we cannot tolerate certain language, especially derogatory name calling. Not just within the community, but about any human being. It’s not who we are. It’s not what we stand for.

She can't be expected to do all the heavy lifting herself, she already took a 20 grand + pay cut by resigning from the government 'payroll'.

I agree luvpink. if I miss a day or two its really hard to follow what is happening. Maybe Scope could pin just a brief outline, bullet points of what's happening up to now but make it a post that cannot be replied to ? I don't know if they can or would do that but it might help.

These statements are completely FALSE and of course misleading. I'm flabbergasted that this is scribbled by the CAB!
"Placement in the Support Group indicates that the DWP has recognised a substantial risk and has deemed you eligible for ESA."
"If your letter states you've been placed in the Support Group, it means the DWP has assessed that there is a substantial risk to your health (or others) if you were found fit for work."0 -
This is what we are all up against, misinformation or deliberate fake info. Not sure what the answer is to this.

Nowhere does it say that claimants in the Support Group of ESA/LCWRA of the Universal Credit won't qualify for or meet the severe conditions criteria by default.
Neither have all claimants in the Support Group/LCWRA been awarded ESA on substantial risk basis.
The substantial risk criteria applies only to a small number among claimants who have been placed in the Support Group/LCWRA.
The substantial risk criteria allows for a more nuanced assessment of a claimant's ability to work, acknowledging that some individuals may face significant harm even if they don't meet the strict criteria for LCW or LCWRA based solely on their functional limitations.

News and newspapers are merely opinions of a group of billionaires desperate to influence public opinion and make more money don't read it unless it comes from the top

Quite right, Michael, I only ever listen to Punxsutawney Phil!

I would say most people who are in the ESA / lcwra group are not there because of substantial risk..... I also have just read that people on cbesa / LCWRA but no pip should not expect there circumstances to change until 2028 / 2029 when the WCA gets scrapped and pip takes over.... It stated that this won't start happening till earliest April 2028 and that will be a phased process and it will be new claims first , so existing claiments nearly certainly won't hear anything about the new pip assessment till earliest back end of 2029 ..... No way I'm worrying like I have been for that long , time to take a break and just concentrate on our next wca
