How is your day going?

You could create an artwork of her.. Maybe a nice picture of her transferred into a canvas, some companies do it. they print the picture into the canvas. Fifi will always be in your heart and she is watching over you. or one of those 3d glass cube with a picture engraved inside.. not sure how it is called the technique. but it is hard…

Let's try and show a bit of sensitivity though please @Chris75_, I know what you're trying to say, but poor Catherine has only just got Fifi's ashes back.

But (and this is in no way linked to anyone's previous comments,) we do have the new grumbling discussion, for when you just need to have a good moan about things. It's actually very therapeutic.
Just trying to promote that discussion a bit more. 😁2 -
i really would like a new leg and back… a longer pair of legs would be great.. i am always in pain… i had an ok day today.. it was not bad…i managed my anxiety etc. i also managed to avoid the rush hour etc.. and now at home. tomorrow will be another day and i hope i will not be in pain.. if weather is good i will be out. if it is not i will be staying at home. hope you all have a nice afternoon evening and night.

I'm so sorry for your pain Catherine. I hope you will feel able to come on here and express how you feel; I have enormous empathy for you, as will very many others.
Fifi was by your side for so many years it will take time to grieve and mourn her, she was clearly a very much-loved family member. And you're not 'grumbling' - very different to expressing your deep sadness and grief and I hope you will feel supported on here as you so rightly deserve to be.
Sadly, this happens to be 'how your day is going' for now and it's ok for you to express and share that here, whether it's over weeks, months or years as everyone's bereavement, and how we each experience grief, is different. This is your space as much as it is anyone else's - please remember that.
I spoke to Blue Cross who offer bereavement support when I lost two in a week, they were an amazing source of support. I think they're open 7 days a week from 0830 to 2030 if it might help you to talk to somebody too.
It's such early days yet but you will have days when you smile again, laugh again and, eventually, where your memories of Fifi will be recalled always with deep fondness and love for her, and your pain will lessen.
Sending hugs to you xx

I'm attaching a little article for you, published by Bel Mooney in the Mail today; I'm not suggesting what you should do, only do whatever feels right for you in your own time.
I know exactly what you mean about her ashes. My three that passed I took each on the same day they'd passed, to the pet crematorium, waited and brought them back in their casket the same day. It was emotionally distressing but the lady did a little, lovely service for them. Once you have her ashes home, Fifi is home. Yes, in a different form, that none of us would want, but she's back with you and little Pixie. Mine are all on my piano surrounded by little angels and suchlike. I believe they are with us in spirit anyway, all of the time🫂 xxx

Very valid points, I never considered exactly someone's state of mind when deciding where to post but that's so true; mine was atrocious when I lost my dogs, very fragile 😪.
Some of my days can be good, bad, boring - all in the same day 🙄 so I'll often just not bother posting then.
I hope you have a lovely holiday and rest and that the weather improves.
Thank you so much for asking @Catherine21 my health is stable again thankfully, was able to just about swerve the hospital last week!
It's a lovely idea to get a cross for Fifi in your garden. I'm sorry you were so upset when out and about, look after yourself and be kind to yourself. Grief isn't 'neat and tidy' and can catch us unawares too xx

I haven't felt able to post for a few days. I have read everyone's posts though. I just want to pass my love and prayers to all of you who have been struggling over these past days.
I like to here about everyone's day on here be it funny, sad, good or bad. We all have different ways in expressing our feeling's and your day and how it's going should be shared how you want it to be. I think it's precious being able to share to a post, where you will hopefully find empathy, understanding, help, advice and supportive words. We share our local weather reports, our favourite pictures or funny stories and our memories, difficulties, worries, happiness or sadness. Keep feeling able to share, whatever your day has been for you.❤️
