I'I've given up predicting matches, I was rubbish last night! 😂

on my predictions i have neth/swe draw (possibly not going to happen) ger, ecu and tun to win

Hello :) I think Holland win, Germany win, Ecuador win and Japan win

I really not enjoying the BBC commentating team again, they are too shouty. Alan Shearer gets too carried away and loud.
The ITV commentators tend to be more laid back and easier to listen to. Or maybe I'm just tired tonight! 😕

I agree @Scooby222

Watcha @Adrian_Scope
I will be watching Curaçao get beaten by Ecuador with the sound off ☺️
The skill and colourful supporters in their first match reminded me that this is not just football…this is World Cup football!

i would rather have shearer over ian wright anyday of the week

I’m looking forward to this game too :)
I’m going to see if I can stay awake until 5am for Japan but it will be hard. I feel tired already

I do like Gary Neville’s analysis, I think he knows what he’s talking about. On BBC they have Rooney and I don’t think he really knows what he’s talking about

Wayne Rooney doesn't strike me as a scholar, but surely he knows more than a thing or two about football; how could you even say that?

To clarify: I like Alan Shearer as a pundit, but I don't like him doing the commentary during the match. He gets too shouty.
Apologies to all Alan Shearer fans out there.... 😊

Great news the Cape Verde hero goalkeeper's mum Ana Candida Evora arrives in the US after government intervened to grant visa.

I have just loged in since joining this world cup thing.
So does this mean I have had the Netherlands picked for me ?
I watched that match and they were fab what a game!

Yes, and it looks like you've been given a really good team there! Worth following. 😃

Hello :) I just don’t really see what he says and I think I see bias and hypocrisy in some things he came out with last season. There are others who I think tell it more clearly and have a really good understanding of the game, like Gary Neville. I can see what he’s saying. I think Gael Clichy is doing a good job on BBC, I like both coverage ultimately. I just wanted to share an opinion like others and I stand by mine :)

Japan were exciting, really happy to see Japan doing well :)
I really like how energetic and enterprising they are. They play with such freedom and get the ball forward quickly. They interchange positions so well I lose track of who essentially their forwards are and who are their designated midfielders, they’re full of action. So exciting to watch, I wish England played like this. Or at least, more consistently as they started to perform in the second half against Croatia and started to look more like Japan

This evening we've got:
5pm (BST): Spain (@Scooby222 and @ripple) vs Saudi Arabia (@oldmanmarple)
8pm (BST): Belgium (@Richard_Scope) vs Iran (@machy54321 and @jools66)
11pm (BST): Uruguay (@tel) vs Cape Verde (@SlowMode)

Any predictions?

i don't see spain losing, they are 3 - 0 up

Um, tough call, but maybe I'll predict that Spain win? 🤔
Belgium to win, the other 2 matches to be a draw.
Bear in mind that I do not have a good record of making correct predictions though! 😀
