I don’t have much to add to this thread not knowing a lot about football. However my family all follow Leeds United and are all excited now they are back in the top league again. It must be about 15 years since they were last in the top league. I very much doubt they will win it though haha

Hi @WestHam06
I think Man City will win the premiership this season. Simply because very few teams manage to retain the premiership for a second successive season. Sorry @Richard_Scope
Best wishes

LOL @66Mustang, that said I think that Leeds will do well this season as they have a fantastic manager and some quality players. Thank you for joining the conversation
Hi @Stayce,
How are you? Interesting and very good point, I just think Klopp will want to lift the trophy in front of the fans as quite rightly they weren't able too last season. Please may I ask what your thoughts are on Chelsea and Manchester United as they are talked about as the outsiders?
Also, have you seen the latest post about the football competition, it explains the set up for this season, it's in the Coffee Lounge
Thank you. 0 -
Hi @WestHam06
I think Chelsea could be interesting this season - they’re strengthening their squad quite considerably and have the funds to do so. So I do think they will be right up there.
I’ll head over to the coffee lounge and check out the set up for the football competition- thanks for the heads up??1 -
Hi @Stayce,
Totally agree, Chelsea have been very active in the transfer market and so they could well be the outsider that everyone goes for. I'm not too sure, it's great having all these new players but it's whether all not they gel. It's good to see that Fulham seem to have learnt from past errors as they are a great example of where buying lots of new players didn't achieve the anticipated goal. That said, and this is hard for me to say as an avid Hammers fan, Frank Lampard is a great manage so I would imagine it will be a success and they are definitely worth considering for one the cups. Hope you found the football competition

I agree with you @Stayce. I can't see Liverpool retaining the league, it's a very tough ask. I'm still happy as I never thought I'd see us win it again!Stayce said:Hi @WestHam06

If Lampard can get all of the new signings to gel, Chelsea is going to have a formidable side.0 -
Which teams would make favourites for winning the championship title this season?
I would appreciate to hear about what other people thoughts and views0 -
I would say Man City or Chelsea with United and Liverpool outside bets.0

@Richard_Scope
i think arsenal might be a dark horse
who recon will come up to the premiership next season0 -
If Arsenal can sort their defence out, they certainly have the firepower upfront.
As for promotion to the Premier League, I fancy Nottingham Forest, Watford and Bournemouth0 -
I have to say though, I'm quite excited by the thought of Messi playing up against David Luis, that would be hilarious.0

Hi everyone,
Hope you are all well. I'll stick with Liverpool I just think Klopp will want to win it with hopefully fans present but I do agree it will be a tough ask. I think West Ham are going down, I am so sad we sold Grady Diangana and it appears it's caused problems within the team. In terms of promotion to the Premier League I think possibly Blackburn may make the play off's but I was talking to someone and they reckon Stoke could be an outside shout. Thank you.0 -
There is now a FC Isle of Man which will be in the North West Counties League Division 1 South. There will be a friendly on Saturday: Guernsey FC v FC Isle of Man.

My prediction is Man City to win the league this season and reclaim their title. Liverpool had a worrying end to last season and a poor start to this season with the Community Shielf loss.
I think Chelsea's new signings won't do as well as many are predicting, I think they might start slow.
Relegation? I think Crystal Palace, Fulham and West Brom will go down, while my beloved Leeds survive
We've made a couple of solid looking signings so far. 1 -
Poor start??

Hi @Ross_Scope,
Interesting thoughts on who will be relegated, I do think Crystal Palace will and possibly Brighton, both of these teams seem to have flirted with relegation over the years. I think my beloved Hammers will be the third team to go down
Thank you. 0 -

@Ross_Scope
I would like to hear your thoughts about Aston Villa signing Oliely whattkins from Brentford and Newcastle signing Callum wilison from Bournemouth
I look forward to seeing viewes

I think as players they are both very talented @Globster but Newcastle are getting much better value for money.
Providing he can stay fit, Wilson is an absolute bargain at £20 million, whereas Aston Villa paying close to £30 million for Watkins seems a bit steep. He's never played in the Premier League and has only been playing really well as part of a successful trio at Brentford. When the burden is on him and him alone I think he might struggle.
That said I'd have taken him at Leeds.1 -
Hello Guys,
Hope everybody is doing well. Fantasy Premier League starts today. can someone create a league and share the code for us to compete. just a thought.
Thanks.0
