You can still claim universal credit that is done online go to univerdil credit on search bar then go to put a claim in then just follow the instructions because you have a disability you can put in a claim for pip you get this even if you work phone them and they will tell you I will send you the phone number for pip or if you type personal independent payments the phone number will come up
-
Thnks will try to do so
-
But I dont know if I am eligible as it's been only a month since here
-
Thanks so much though
-
You can put in a claim with your local bus company but you need to be Vladimir g a benefit first but do claim pip and universal credit as that will help you
-
Universal Credit is a means tested benefit and claiming this will depend on your circumstances. As you are not a UK national then you will first have to pass the Habitual Residence test, details here in this link. https://www.citizensadvice.org.uk/benefits/claiming-benefits-if-youre-from-the-EU/before-you-apply/check-if-you-can-pass-the-habitual-residence-test-for-benefits/As you've only been here in the UK for 1 month then it's unlikely that you'll be able to claim successfully.PIP, to be eligible to claim this you must have lived in the UK for 2 of the last 3 years so unfortunately, you won't be able to claim this. https://www.gov.uk/pip/eligibility

Thanks for the info Lisa atleast am not in doubt now
-
Thank you Poppy been helpful
-
It doesn't make any difference you are entitled to so.ethong
-
You are entitled to something have you got a national insurance number and you also need a right to work in this country evidence
-
Hi Lisa tat was very helpful getting correct details am very thankful to all of u
Yes Lisa I am in and out of the uk for years but not for long periods and now too came here so tat I dont loose my settlement status due to brexit was here last year too though was partially disable but had to go to goa as was being treated there I came here on oct 25 and flew back on 12 dec as was in pain so had to undergo 3 more surgeries for the same. -
Even now am not sure about my situation but willing to take up some job
-
More over worried tat I am living at my sisters place though I help out in wateverway I can cleaning etc though she insists but am capable in doing those
-
Hi @lesLY1 - I would advise that you look at the links that Poppy has given. Her advice on benefits, etc. is excellent. I'm sure Lisa means well, & is trying to help, but, having myself been a member of Scope's online community for 16 months myself, rather than Lisa's 2 weeks, I have seen how much Poppy knows, & how she helps people.
-
Yes Lisa I did work here in the past but at that time had met with one accident only but had pain so left the job I worked only for a month for m&S as a loader in the warehouse then gave up in a month was having an implant too at tat time

lisathomas50 said:It doesn't make any difference you are entitled to so.ethongI'm sorry but you can't just advise someone that they will be entitled to benefits, without knowing all of their exact circumstances. To claim UC Lesly will need to pass the HRT if this isn't possible then a claim for UC will not be possible. For PIP then as the gov.uk link advises you need to be in the UK for 2 out of the past 3 years.

Yes very true but it was me not forwarding my details clearly
-
I just brought it out today
Actually hv been in and out of the uk for years but not on a lengthy stretch I think I will hv to start back again
