I particularly like this bit @natz2009, I think it's a powerful message. Do you find it helpful to express yourself through poetry?

I have loved reading the poetry. I am 2nd year into a creative writing degree and love writing poetry it can be very cathartic. Someone mentioned their poetry not rhyming, it doesnt need to. Poetry can be rhyming or not
Well done all, thoroughly entertaining read!

I sit and wonder where time has gone

I was once a child living with my mom

Brothers and sisters and our dad too

In our tiny house where we all grew

We played in the streets till after dark

Dossing with other kids in the park

Knocking on doors and running away

Was one of the fun games we used to play

We all grew up and left our little home

Got hitched and had a family of our own

Now parents have gone and kids have grown

I look to the future and the unknown.

I sit and think about the years gone by

How so rapid and quickly it did fly

It scares me now how fast the years ahead

Will hasten as fast and fills me with dread
