@Luchia thanks, I had thought of that but the thought of some stranger packing up my things is definitely not something I could ever do.Thankfully, I have my daughter who is amazing and I don’t know what I would do without her. Actually, she says the same about me. We make the perfect team, she does what I can’t do and I do what she can’t. She will pack and unpack.I have other family and friends that will help with everything that’s heavy on moving day.3

What fantastic news! And a perfect time of year too, what with new year on the horizon. I bet it's one of those wonders that when you wake up you will remember something amazing happened and then a blank and then.... OMG!!!

I wasn't going to say anything but we did visit the outside of the house today because i know the postcode and there's only 15 houses in the row, so not difficult to see which one it was, as it's currently empty.I don't know the area but my eldest daughter does and before i placed the bid (as i did with all bids i made) i asked her what it was like and she said it's lovely and i should definitely bid. She wasn't wrong and it really does look lovely and so quiet too.I looked through the living room window and was pleasantly surprised at the size of the living room. Went around the back with the car and into the garden, lovely size, perfect for a lovely flower garden and some lawn for my grandchildren to play on. Much bigger than what i have now. Looked through the window at the kitchen and at first i was a little shocked to find the kitchen smaller than what i expected but to my surprise there's a dining room! I expect the bedrooms to be the same size as kitchen and living room so happy days!Now, we are very very excited! Can't wait to actually view it next week and agree to the tenancy. I have a shortfall of rent where i live now so this move will definitely help as there's no shortfall of rent.7

Poppy I'm so delighted for you, honestly you will see such a huge difference this will make for you and your daughter. Reading your post I was just so happy for you, I know the difference a adapted house can make or as I like to call it my peace of mind forever home, so congratulations on your forever home and the peace of mind this will bring.

Thank you to everyone who commented, it's means a lot!! We have been to see the house this morning and we absolutely love it!! It's much bigger than what i thought from viewing through the windows, which is a big bonus.I have accepted the property with the biggest smile i've had on my face for a very very long time!It's just had a brand new kitchen and flooring fitted, which is lovely. I need a stairlift but there's a waiting list of about 6 months for that. I can manage without that for the time being but long term it will need to be done. The OT said she will arrange for someone to come out to get the measurements once i have the key.The shower room is small, with a separate toilet, which is different but not an issue at all. Both rooms are fully tiled with white tiles so it looks lovely.She said that signing the tenancy agreement is usually by telephone and is likely to be by the end of next week. Once it's done they will put the key in a key safe outside the house.Of course there's no flooring or cooker, which i do need to sort out.She advised me to hand in my notice with my current landlord ASAP because the new house is now mine! (just not offically yet) Woop woop!! Big smiles, celebrations and excitement to start a new chapter with my daughter!

A fully tiled bathroom is very nice, easy to maintain too.
Are you getting any help with the flooring and cooker? Those can be pretty large expenses!

An amazing start to a new year in a new home.
Im not sure if your council do it but when I moved into my flat I got white goods and it was a massive help. The Welfare Fund it’s called up here.
You May wish to purchase a more modern one but thought i would mention it just incase.

Thank you everyone! @Jimm_Scope @Lou67 i was told today to speak to my LA when i sign the tenancy agreement and they will help me information for some funding with cooker at least. Not sure about the carpets but i will ask about those too.If all else fails then my eldest daughter will be happy to get them on credit so i can pay monthly. Thankfully, it will be split between myself and daughter i live with.I'm just sitting in the clouds because i didn't expect this to happen so quickly but i'm so happy it did and very greatful that i was luckly enough to be rehoused so quickly because i know the wait for some HA properties can be very long. I'm sure it's not a dream!@noman aww that's sweet, thank you!2

That’s great news that it has a new kitchen, and although you are going to have to do the carpets, at least you will be able to pick what you want and won’t have anybody else’s stains on them! I’m so pleased that the house is everything you wanted.1
