I think everyone deserves a little luxury in whatever format

I buy stuff that someone on ESA probably shouldn't buy which is single malt whisky which is maybe £40-50 for a bottle, but I don't spend money on lots of other things that others buy, I don't go to the pub or smoke or drink lots of cheap alcohol or anything

If you make the books balance at the end of the month I say why not have some luxuries

A broken bowl which wasn't what the item I ordered! Deep farce. Ordered black earthenware bowl. A grey one arrived in two pieces in a box too big for it in which it had obviously slid around with a single thin sheet of bubble wrap draped over it.

Oh no @Cantilip what a pain! Are they sending you a replacement or giving you a refund at least?

I've had to order a rechargable battery pack for the new Xbox, sending AA batteries seems a bit cheap of Microsoft.

Dear Amazon instantly confirmed refund - I should say that although the item was ordered on Amazon, they weren't the manufacturers, the sellers or even the delivery persons, and so were blameless, which I guess is a pitfall of using the site. I even get it collected from my doorstep for free.

Yes, those batteries do seem stingy.

Hope I haven't put anyone off on-line shopping. All my shopping is thus, haven't been in a shop for years, and most of it's highly successful,

I've had great experiences with online shopping, I've obviously bought dodgy products which happens but can't recall a time when this wasn't put right

Rightly or wrongly, all the shops I've used seem genuinely scared of bad reviews and do their utmost to keep customers happy, even in cases where their requests are unreasonable

Of course you can buy defective products in brick-and-mortar shops too, and I've actually had more issues trying to get recourse in physical shops than I have ever had online

Supermarket substitutions can be good value. I once ordered kitchen scales from Sainsbury's. They delivered bathroom scales.

I once ordered a bottle of spirits from Amazon and it didn't turn up, so they sent another one and both arrived. I decided to do the right thing and inform them and they told me to keep both 👍️

I just bought 2 jumpers and paid less for both than one would have cost at full price!! 😊

One positive about having issues with my body and having to cover up is that when everyone is buying Summer clothes, the long sleeve clothes are going cheap 😂

That's true @66Mustang . I always buy the jackets and coats which are down 70-80%.

Summer seems to be over already so shouldn't be long before I start wearing them lol
