I am exactly the same with cutting people off, I mean it takes a lot but if someone keeps pushing me then I cut all ties and act as if they are dead I won’t acknowledge them at all

It’s really hard feeling like there’s something wrong with me as everyone seems to treat me the same, so I think well it must be me as it can’t be everyone else but in every scenario it’s always the same situation people taking from me people wanting or expecting things but treating me like I don’t matter

I'm attending a course over zoom in my area for Autism and adhd. Finding that I can relate to a lot of stuff that is being covered on the course. Interesting stuff

That sounds really appealing I wish they had something like that in my area as I am new to my autism diagnosis. I had never even thought that autism is what I had before, as I always got labelled with different mental illnesses. But stuff I read up on autism in females just resonates with my life and how I react to things, and how I think and how I feel. Good luck with your course

Hopefully word might get around @Kali85 and more and more courses Hopefully will become available. Fingers crossed 🤞 they do . Wishing you a lot of luck throughout your new journey. I can imagine it must help knowing from your diagnosis that it is rectifying everything you was questioning. Sending gentle hugs now and always. Thank you for your kindness it's appreciated. Please take care of yourself too.

I have to take one day at a time or I won’t cope at all. Just wish people were kinder and more considerate of each other. The world is a very dark place. Thank you I really appreciate your kindness. Take care too

Glad you take one day at a time @Kali85 , it's a good idea . People are so judgemental and are not kind . It's such a shame it's is this way . I agree the world is a dark place very much so . Alot of people are very blinkered. Take care and be kind to yourself.

no worries sleep is important, my mood is terrible if I haven’t had enough sleep and I cannot function properly when I am tired, I won’t even drive my car when I am tired

This sounds rather similar to my partner right now. She's been looking back at her childhood and the new knowledge we have now about how autism can show itself in young girls. She is strongly considering going for an assessment to see if she has autism soon.

I'm exactly the same as you @Kali85 I don't function well without enough sleep. I don't drive but I can understand why you don't drive when your tired . .

I think back on situations and I think I got through things on adrenaline I'm sure of it . Always pushing myself over and over .

Your partner would need to ask her GP to refer her for an assessment, alot of questions ask about how you were as a child with certain situations and then a lot of questions about how certain situations etc effect you as an adult. I personally feel a weight lifted off my shoulders having my diagnosis and also reading up on autism in females has helped me a lot too. The mental illnesses I was labelled with didn’t seem quite right to me only a few characteristics fitted with me but then a majority of it was completely wrong. Assessments can take upto 4 years depending on the area that you live in. Hope this is helpful
