Hi everyone I'm back from holiday home (Mabel). We just loved it and it was so relaxing and peaceful. The view of the forest from our living room window is awesome.
@66Mustang it's a holiday home and season is from St Patrick's day on 17th March to the end of November. You are allowed to go weekends outside of that.
We are back on Friday and hope to get wood for decking delivered which will be great as weather is better there than in Belfast.
@rubin so sorry you are poorly again.
@Beaver79 I'm sure your nails are lovely and summery.
@amberpearl and everyone else having trouble sleeping sometimes I put earbuds in and listen to a meditation app snd I fall asleep. There are loads of free ones to help you sleep.
I'm wrecked from sll the activity the last few days. Hopefully I have dropped some weight! Not long to my sons wedding.
I'm going to power nap before making dinner. Talk later 😊

@Marydoll5 how far is it from Belfast? It sounds a long way but I guess maybe it's just a hop over the ocean then you are almost there??
@Beaver79 I'm good today, thanks! I only know about the heat box because I spoke to a man who used to get his nails extended because he used his nails to play guitar and he said the heat was really unbearable and that people who can put up with it are very enduring 😆

@66Mustang its Newcastle County Down not Newcastle upon tyne. Its funny how many cities and towns have the same names in England and Ireland.
It's about 30 miles south of Belfast and is a seaside town with the famous "Mountains of Mourne sweep down to the sea" as the song by Percy French goes. We are half way up the Mournes surrounded by forest. The whole area was used in Game of Thrones and you can do tours that take you around the sites and to see the wooden carved doors from series 6 in different hostelries!
It has a microclimate because of the Mournes and is much sunnier and warmer despite only being 30 miles south of Belfast. It takes an hour to get there from home so is ideal 😊

Good morning all 😊
Very dull start to the day, hospital appts booked, mind already doing overtime as one is a CT scan 😒
On a positive side, my new mobility car should be here in two to three weeks, trouble is I'm so impatient!!!!! 😂
Having an electric window, stair grab rail and new gas boiler all being done really soon, why do I still get anxious about having people in! still it's getting done.
Now all I have to do is find out about the stair lift to see if I can have one.
Phew - time for a power nap, exhausted 😂
