    Just asking for those who had no photo ID , can't use bus pass. I know you had to go for a interview what sort of things do they ask or you need to take for ID. ?

    thank you . Do I definitely have to go to take ID ? , I can scan and send it to them .or do they have to check it’s definitely me ?

    So when I get the migration letter, do I contact the cab and they do it with me , and then do the dwp phone you and you have to go to the jobcentre with ID ,

    Why couldn't they leave esa until 2028, like they were going too, if Labour said they were going to simplify uc . Leave it until its done. Seems so complicated. How come they can't transfer your details over especially if you were claiming HB. Why do we have to make a new claim which is stressful and a worry

    Viki 66 sorry to.ask., but did you go to the CAB and they phoned the UC to make the claim with you being there or do you do it online

    thank you for explaining it all . I’m going to call CAB and ask them for help with my glad . I live in a housing association property and I don’t even know where my tenancy is I might have to call them and ask for a copy

    How will they know how much I’ve been getting on ESA ? Do i need to tell UC this when I claim ?

    When you had to go with your ID is it just a quick check then you can leave ? And is it an appointment or do you just go there anytime to show your ID ?

    thank you . I’m just worried they don’t process my claim properly and I get less money . I have untill 20th November to claim so I will do it around 8th November

    I was reading on the government website you can submit your ID and it will be processed by online identity verification, I’m guessing this is just for photo ID . Anyone done this and not had to be called in for ID check ?

    Why cant disabled bus passes be used ? They are used for ID for voting its ridiculous

    I don't think I be better off, once the transition period goes down due to rent increases etc . Why can't it include the extra disability element we are getting at the moment. I have esa and housing benefit, going to ask if mine can be paid directly to the housing association.

    Also for you all to be aware its on the benefit and work site , that Labour have changed the WCA , that each region where you live has been assigned different companies, Wales and the Midlands which I am is Capita,

    Each area of the country will have the different companies do the WCA for Pip , Esa etc depending where you live

    Yes I know, my mental health has gone down hill , since all this came out. First pip, now this hurried migration. I am dreading the budget to see what else that Rachel reeves is going to do, the letter I got from starmer before the election treating disabled with dignity is a load of ****. He couldn't care less. Look at what they are doing to the pensioners. My older sister and brother in law depends on that , especially both with ill health. I am scared that something might happened due to that

    Timeline For Migrations.

    Tax credit claimants who also claim any of the other legacy benefits (including ESA) will be selected for the managed migration mainly during 2024. By the end of the 2024/25 tax year, most will have migrated to universal credit.

    People claiming other legacy benefits, but not ESA only or ESA plus housing benefit only, will also be selected for the managed migration exercise during 2024. By the end of the 2024/25 tax year, most will have migrated to universal credit.

    People claiming ESA only or ESA plus housing benefit (but not tax credits), will be selected for the managed migration exercise slightly later. At one point this was put back to the 2028/29 tax year but DWP have more recently announced they will be start to invite people claiming ESA or ESA plus housing benefit to claim universal credit from September 2024 with the aim of contacting everyone in this group by December 2025.

    Less than a year ago. I finally managed to get enhanced rate pip on both (after a long fight), with a light touch 10 review. How will migration impact me. I don't get housing benefit but I am considering applying for it, so wiil just that part be uc. I've just started getting my state pension and my partner gets state pension.

    Hello @hopeforall, as you and your partner are both above state pension age you won't be migrated across and will be able to claim Housing Benefit instead of Universal Credit.

    That's correct. PIP does not get migrated for anyone. That remains a totally separate benefit.
