You don't need a Fit note as a transfer from ESA, but the system might ask for one as do some UC staff, both wrongly.

    Thanks Andi and Kimmy :)

I've let the council know as they are my landlord and asked if the rent could be paid directly to them as I'm supposedly classed as a vulnerable person, so the person put a note on my account and said that a rent support officer will contact me once I've claimed to make sure it's going smoothly.

It should be fine, my son started his migration from IS to UC (he's my carer) a couple of weeks or so ago, he just had to speak to someone via phone due to his lack of ID.

Assuming it was the Council you asked about direct rent payment, you need to ask UC for the rent to go direct to your landlord:

Yeah it was the council, ok will do thanks.

I'll mention it with the other two things lol.

Oddly, I'm not as anxious as I thought I'd be about switching to UC.

I have another question, when it asks for conditions, do I put undiagnosed conditions as well?

Also, with my rent I have service charges included, am I going to have to pay those? They were included with HB before.

Ok thank you @Biblioklept I have mental health conditions that haven't been diagnosed, the medical centre are making things hard by not dealing with my complaint and medical record concerns and are in turn affecting my health, 2 and a half years now so I don't trust them to help me with any medical conditions or to listen to me. I can't even move practice because they are all as bad where I live.

Ok thank you @Biblioklept :) It's a small box though, can I just put something like symptoms of and then the condition or? e.g. symptoms of complex PTSD?

It's strange that despite the move to UC , dwp still sending out Esa review forms Esa 50,

I belong to the benefits and work site, so seen people put it

Still no news on mine , I sent back in Jan, apparently doing new claims before reviews

Do the different departments not talk to each other.

Just to say this is ESA to UC migration.

Really? So why ask people to move over then lol.

I wouldn't know about that, I did my last review at the end of 2021 and was moved to SG.

Ah I see you were sent a new ESA50? so it's that you're waiting for. It took them 4 years for them to get back to me about my review, by then the form was out of date and I needed to do a new form lol.

Yes I'm still waiting for mine, but they still sending them out

Yeah that's kind of weird isn't it, especially now that they are moving people to UC.

As long as you keep getting your money, I wouldn't worry too much.

Why is it bizarre? There's people that still claim ESA and thousands of people that claim New style ESA which will never be part of UC.

Hi Poppy, I hope you're well.

I have no idea what new style ESA is, all I know is that those who are on legendary benefits are being asked to migrate to UC.

Thanks @vikki66 yeah the medical centre that I'm currently registered started to go downhill rapidly when it joined with a management company, I saw a gp who was new at the time in 2021 partly about my mental health, while she did refer me, the service that I was referred to was terrible and I ended up wanting to cancel the assessment, even then I had to speak to someone who would have assessed me and she was as much use as a chocolate teapot, she wouldn't advise me about how to get a diagnosis without treatment, the treatment offered was what I'd tried and wasn't helpful, she really was useless, no offence but she was meant to be helping and advising but she didn't. I have been trying for 2 and half years now for the to fully address a complaint and to get them to look into my concerns about my records, when I did speak to someone after 2 years she said they had 30 days, I've been told 3 times that I should receive a letter soon.. I've received nothing. I've asked for updates twice this past month, no response. So I'll probably end up having to speak to ICB again.

Pardon the moan, but it's really stressful when you speak to medical people and they don't listen, they make assumptions rather than ask, the GP I complained about claimed she referred me for an ECG, they didn't have my details then had the cheek to say in my medical notes that I refused the appointment when I did no such thing. She also messed up supporting letters and didn't even allow me any input in relation to my care or where I wanted to be referred.

@vikki66 Thank you, I appreciate that.

    I hope she stays ok.

I'm supposed to have an advocate to help but unfortunately with her having health conditions herself, she's been off work a lot this year with one thing or another, so she hasn't been able to help me much. I'm hoping she's back at work next week.

I feel bad for her, it really deflates you when that happens and makes you wonder why you bother, you feel that people don't really care or understand but sadly NHS is limited as to what they offer, I tried various medications, 26 sessions of counselling, CBT with 2 different therapist, I went to a self help thing which was ok but I was the only one to turn up to, so they advised me not to come the following week, I've also tried self help literature but because of my cognitive issues, I can never concentrate on text properly and tend to skim things which isn't helpful.

I'm currently sat here waiting for someone from Wellness in Mind to email me, she suggested emotional support emails for 4 weeks, she's late and it's making me feel more anxious and irritated.. it's a thing I have when people are too early or too late.. don't know if I'm on the spectrum or if it's trauma related.

Thanks very much for the offer of support, I appreciate it and I'm sending your step-daughter lots of gentle hugs.

That was pointless, she emails me late with 2 forms and some information about grounding and such which is useless to me (no offence tried grounding stuff, it doesn't help, plus I have issues reading as I said further up), I was under the impression that she was offering me emotional support via email for 4 weeks, I understand having to fill a consent form out but not a self referral form lol.

I'm going to finish and send my UC on Tuesday and just wanted to ask if the following was ok for me to add to my journal, I'm not very good when it comes to wording things.

    1. I am in the support group of ESA and should be awarded automatic LCWRA on my UC.
    2. I’d also like to request that the rent be paid directly to the council because I have mental health conditions and find it difficult to manage money. Dealing with finances makes my anxiety worse and makes me feel very overwhelmed and I have missed paying bills in the past. My son helps me with my finances and has set up direct debits for things like council tax.
    3. Due to me having mobility issues and being agoraphobic among other things, I very rarely leave my home, so I wouldn’t be able to attend an appointment where I'd have to leave my home as it would cause me a lot of pain, anxiety and distress and would impact my physical health as well. I find it difficult to speak to people verbally as well but if I need to speak to someone a phone appointment or home visit would be better.

I stole 1 from someone else on here lol.

I tend to overthink things often.

    Thanks @vikki66

I ended up asking the woman about the referral form and information, I explained about my issues with reading and we decided I'd go through the info a bit at a time, to be honest though, I think I'm too anxious for it to help at the moment, but I'll give it a go. She explained that even though she'd already offered help I still need to do the referral questionnaire which is fine, I did say I was reluctant to give my GP details because both the CBT therapists told porkies in letter to my GP, so it's made me weary. There was something that did bug me, she asked if anything in particular had made me anxious, I explained and she disappeared, but I do understand that she does have a finish time.

I'll see what she says when she responds.

Thanks for reading that for me, I don't want any issues with migrating over, can't be doing with more stress and anxiety.

Hope you have a good day too :)

An adviser from an advice centre kindly responded to my email yesterday, she was supposed to be on leave until October, even she said it would be a good idea to put notes in about being agoraphobic and about the rent and me currently being in the Support Group.

I'll finish it tomorrow and will get it submitted.

How long roughly does it take them to sort it out? Also, do they look at your notes fairly quickly so they can address the appointment, I'm assuming everyone switching from ESA needs to have one regardless of what group they are in?
