UC managed migration guide

That amount must include couples SDP is that correct?
If you were in the Support Group your fortnightly amount would be more like £733. It could still be the Support Group if there’s deductions for something. If there’s no deductions then it’s likely to be the WRAG.
To know for sure you can either ring them to ask or look at your most recent letter with the full breakdown. If it says Support Group component on it then it’s Support Group. If it doesn’t then it’s the WRAG.

Are you 100% sure that your ESA is £692 a fortnight? Or is that the total amount of benefits you receive?
I think the best thing to do is ring ESA and ask them which group you are in and they will tell you.

That didn't take long just got appointment at local job centre next Wednesday. I just wrote on my journal that I got mental health issues and find it hard being round people. It's say it's a appointment for identification checks. I wrote as well that I am on ESA and in the support group.

Everyone has to verify ID for Universal Credit, even when migrating from legacy benefits.
If you can manage a Job Centre visit then that's the quickest way to do it. But if not, you can request a home visit or a biographical phonecall instead.

Got appointment tomorrow I am starting to get really anxious now. Didn't sleep a wink cos constantly over thinking like I always do. I have taken my medication this morning but taken diazepam as well but I try not to but I really need to.

What's the appointment for? Is it because you've recently claiming Universal Credit?

Yeah got a letter to migration from ESA.

If the appointment is in person then you ask for a reasonable adjustment for a telephone appointment.
If you are in the Support Group for ESA then your UC will include the LCWRA element from the start of your claim.
If you haven't done this already please put a message onto your journal and tell them which group you were in for ESA. You do not need to provide a fit note.

They said I need to supply proof and documentation such as birth certificates concil tax bill bank statements and they need to see them in person??

Hi @Greentench. There are other ways to verify your identity, such as online or over the phone. I would ask them for a reasonable adjustment if you're unable to attend in-person.
0 -
That's to confirm your identity, which can definitely be done through a telephone call.

Do you think it's too late now to ask? Cos appointment is 11am in morning?

Just got a email saying that on my universal credit journal that I got appointment by phone this Friday to agree a new style employment and support allowance commitment? Don't really understand this cos I was in the understanding that if I was in the support group I didn't need to do this?? I am really confused and very anxious.

This means that pre migration, part of your ESA was Contributions Based.
It now has converted automatically into New Style ESA, and will be paid separately from UC, fortnightly at a rate of £276.40.
This will be deducted in full (598.68) from each UC payment.
As UC is a monthly benefit and ESA weekly, the numbers may initially look wrong, but are in fact right.
You will be in the Support Group for NS ESA, the commitment is usually a formality of you agreeing to keep them informed of any changes.

Could I ask or do I need to start my own thread about this reply

You can ask here.

OK thanks poppy is this for the support group

If any part of an ESA award was Contributions Based, then upon migration it will convert to NS ESA as I explained above.
The person I replied to was in the Support Group, and it applies to the Work Related Activity Group also.
