Autism/Depression

Sweet Strawberry 🍓 it was very much like that for me too. Started looking at the characteristics associated with autism and realised that I matched so many that my daughter probably was onto something…and she was right. As you probably are. Too many very specific features of behaviour, appearance and preferences to be coincidences.
We understand you and know what you're going through. Believing in it enough to accept it takes a while and we all hope you don't have to wait long for assessment and diagnosis.

Thank you @WhatThe , I always appreciate the support and kindness and time and feedback.

usually it's others comments that make me that way.
Nightcity, I've come to the conclusion that my autism is as much about other people as it is me.

I have most probably asked this question before my apologies. Do any of you worry alot about things and do any of you feel panicked before appointments or phone calls ? Thank you in advance. Sorry to interrupt once again.

yes anytime I have to go somewhere whether it’s an appointment or even just visiting family the night before I struggle to sleep as I lay in bed worrying about being late or acting awkward or something bad will happen and lots of other worries, then on the day I always get panicked before I go, it’s like my body is gushing with adrenaline

Going back to what Whatthe said, I agree. I've worked out 50% of my autism is on me to manage because it's my brain. The other 50% are the obstacles I have to use energy to get around because of all the misunderstandings.
The biggest frustration for me with autism is that there are so many of us literally screaming to be understood properly, and still the people talking for us are the friends of family of or the "experts". And all the funding money seems to go into researching how to socially normalise an autistic person (probably at their expense), rather than the other potential medical concerns autistic people tend to have, or making places more inclusive just generally, eg work, or waiting rooms, or transport…
Having been kicked out of the disabled area on a train to make way for a bike on one occasion, I think transport is a biggie. (Albeit when that guard saw my disabled railcard he was very uncomfortable…and I got an apology from the company). In sort, fed up with the world telling me how autism affects me rather than listening to me talk about autism. (And by me I mean all of us, because we're all different and all our experiences matter).

Thank you for your feedback @Kali85 , it took me ages to want to go to sleep last night . I don't think I've slept very well at all and I didn't want to get up and face the day and my stomach is I'm knots . I really appreciate your feedback ❤️. Thank you I'm glad its not just me .

We all have days like that!
I worry about lots of things, and tend to think of worst case scenarios even when I know they're ridiculous.
Sometimes we just need a moment to take care of ourselves :)0
