So the Managed migration is going ahead. Well I think we could start to call it, for what it really is:
“Managed Robbery””!
As a single and in renting accommodation I will lose the protection within a year or two! Just thinking, the migration not suppose to even happen until the 2028!

If the inconspicuous officials who actually prepared the reforms under the Conservatives have not changed, then I think the course will remain the same.
2 -
Haven't a judge ordered the DWP to release the documents on the changes.
1 -
think the court date is 10th and 11th of december and the reforms might not even happen if she proves them to be illegal

Much much more than £100k pa - they can earn that much from a single speech event
Cameron earned £120,000 from an hour speaking at an Indiana University in 2016
May earned £1.86 million, in her first two years after leaving office
And worst of all - that TRUSS woman was paid £32,000 for speaking at a Dublin conference this summer - with accommodation at £720 also paid for…for a single night

Is it not the case that any changes to the WCA are changes in law and a Bill must be passed by both Houses of Parliament and thus enacted ?
0 -
not if deemed unlawful by the courts everyone has to abide the law even the government
0 -
Yes,there'there's a lot riding on this court case. If the DWP are found to be in brbreaking the law, they'll have to go back to the drawing board.
My concern is that if you are in LCWRA and move into a supported living flat, you would be claiming housing benefit for rent. Does this mean you'd be kicked of LCWRA?
0 -
That was always the plan, to cut benefit.
1 -
I wouldn't think so it would simply change the rent element of uc. Lcwra is about your capacity to work.
1 -
I hope she wins that court case, it will be the funniest thing I have seen in ages.
1 -
she most likely will lol

Yeah bye bye Tories in July and Labour cornered in December .hahahahhahahah
0 -
No. LCWRA has nothing to do with help with your rent, whether that's through UC or housing benefit.
0 -
If you are liable for paying Council Tax, then LCWRA status may help with getting 'Council Tax Reduction' but again that is not a UC benefit - it is given by your local authority. You would have to check with them.

Here you go @Catherine21

I think they have said they want to adopt Rishi Sunaks plan to remove three key descriptors that allow you to claim WCA..mobility incontinence and if the job is dangerous to the individual.
1 -
That plans will see me screwed, will it be for new claimers or existing claims, I don't know what they expect me to do, currently in the support group for ESA, just filled in ESA50 so waiting on a reassessment, I have Severe anxiety disorder, and severe IBS , which means I struggle to leave my home, so there get me on job seekers with no really chance of be working, to hounded by a work coach, but I have not doubt, my doctor will give me fit notes, but the dwp will save 400 pounds a month, and leave me in poverty, with no positive outlook , so anxious, does anyone know when we will anymore news ?

I read that these changes will be for new claims..I have also read that it'll be important once they have rules in place not to then get reassessed or they may withdraw the support...so likely you're OK for now but just don't report extra changes if they give you the maximum..don't rock the boat keep your head low...if cynical I think they just will look for any excuse tge cut

Problem is I recently sent of my ESA 50, and due to back log ,god knows when I have a assessment, also on my different ish note, I ask my doctor for a letter about my condition, witch be put on a fit note, as he said a letter would cost money, so I send that of as evidence, as saying my condition not going to get better, I saw somewhere on here if you send a fit note, that will trigger them to start asking for them, is this true ? It's all very confusing, I haven't been assessed for ESA for over 10 years
