I reckon Mel Stride knew what he was saying in those interviews, when talking about how PIP is an out of work benefit and we get paid thousands a month. Both of those things aren't true. A look on the DWP website, would tell you exactly what PIP is and how much you get paid.
He said those things to justify the vouchers.

maybe he should have his wages in vouchers
3 -
hahaha bet he would have something to say about that !

All government should live on what we have to on benefits or state pension. See how long they last.
0 -
maybe they should stop giving prime ministers 100k a year for the rest of there lives after they have finished the term they do

Stride knew he definitely lied about the figures on PIP, he wanted to stir up hatred towards the disabled by thinking they are raking it in.

people already on Lcwra.. will the new rules regarding assessments be for new applicants? Or people already on Lcwra? It’s very confusing
0 -
What does this mean? Can anyone help
0 -
and will it effect people who are on Lcwra? Already
0 -
That is what the Conservative government proposed. No-one knows what Labour is planning yet.
2 -
Nope, if Labour go ahead with this it'll just be new claimants and anyone who comes off LCWRA and goes back onto it again. Apparently most people on LCWRA now will not be reassessed again. If Labour do anything bad to us it'll probably be in around 2028 or 2029, so we've got time to prepare, like saving money for a safety net or whatever.

So the Managed migration is going ahead. Well I think we could start to call it, for what it really is:
“Managed Robbery””!
As a single and in renting accommodation I will lose the protection within a year or two! Just thinking, the migration not suppose to even happen until the 2028!

If the inconspicuous officials who actually prepared the reforms under the Conservatives have not changed, then I think the course will remain the same.
2 -
Haven't a judge ordered the DWP to release the documents on the changes.
1 -
think the court date is 10th and 11th of december and the reforms might not even happen if she proves them to be illegal

Much much more than £100k pa - they can earn that much from a single speech event
Cameron earned £120,000 from an hour speaking at an Indiana University in 2016
May earned £1.86 million, in her first two years after leaving office
And worst of all - that TRUSS woman was paid £32,000 for speaking at a Dublin conference this summer - with accommodation at £720 also paid for…for a single night

Is it not the case that any changes to the WCA are changes in law and a Bill must be passed by both Houses of Parliament and thus enacted ?
0 -
not if deemed unlawful by the courts everyone has to abide the law even the government
0 -
Yes,there'there's a lot riding on this court case. If the DWP are found to be in brbreaking the law, they'll have to go back to the drawing board.
My concern is that if you are in LCWRA and move into a supported living flat, you would be claiming housing benefit for rent. Does this mean you'd be kicked of LCWRA?

That was always the plan, to cut benefit.
