UC managed migration guide

You should get a letter.
The letters are standardised, so please don't panic about mention of work coaches etc.
You will be in the Support Group from the beginning.
You will have an appointment to agree Commitments (to report any changes), you can request a telephone appointment as a reasonable adjustment, if you'd find going into the Job centre difficult.

I went job centre Tuesday to do ID and had to accept commitments then, my journal says I don’t have to look for work or anything at the moment, will I have to go again to sort out ESA ?

Thankyou poppy gosh hope your well x

Possibly, as UC and ESA are administered separately.

This is a mind field I'm so bad with forms the lot

hope not hope it’s all done by them talking to each other

Accepting your commitments for New style ESA should just be a simple phone call.

will this happen before first universal credit payment ?

morning everyone , today is the day I will be doing my application for UC , I feel so nervous . Any tips would be appreciated. Thanks

I have no idea when you will need to do that. The ESA is not part of UC but it is deducted in full.

I’ve finally did my UC application today and it was very straight forward , I also submitted my id and it’s been verified, does this mean I won’t have to go to the job centre to provide my ID ? I have a date for my first statement and payment. Is there anything I need to tell them in my journal ? Thanks

Wow that's amazing I be asking for advice when mine comes

it was very straight forward and so glad it’s done now . I would be happy to help you if you get stuck on your application

my bedroom tax has just been done which was very straight forward and swift as my disabled children need there own bedroom

Goad to hear it was straightforward. The majority of people have no problems but mostly we only hear the bad stories so people worry needlessly.
Are you in the Support Group for ESA? If so then put a message onto your journal and tell them. It will take a few weeks for ESA to send your details across. They may also ask for a fit note but you do not need to provide that.
You may still need to attend an appointment as a new claimant. If so then you can ask for a reasonable adjustment for a telephone appointment if you’re unable to attend.

I have written in my journal that I’m in a support group and for any appointments to be over the phone due to health conditions.
it does say I may have to have a assessment which I know from this group that isn’t true so I’ve written in my journal I don’t need an assessment because I’m in a support group on ESA1 -
Glad you’re on top of things. Once ESA send your details across your claim will be updated.

I’ve even written what I should get a month haha! Citizens advice told me what my monthly payment should be so I thought I would help universal credit and tell them haha!

my payment date is 15th December which is a Sunday , does that mean I will get paid on the Friday 13th December?

Yes, that's correct.
