In hospital and not for mental health this time

So happy to hear that you're working in nurseries 😊 I've worked in a nursery and primary school and it depends on how well behaved they are as to what age group I prefer! I hope you enjoy being at the other nursery next week.
Going to the Christmas markets is a great idea. Make sure you wrap up warm, it's so cold today.

Hi @cupcake88 - my granddaughter looks after the younger children & babies & loves it.
It seems you're doing so well looking after older children & enjoying it too.
Oh, I never thought about your seizures meds being increased, but hopefully you'll remain seizure free at a relatively low dosage.
It's great to read about your increasing confidence; I'm proud of you my friend, xx

I can’t remember when I joined scope I think it was 4 years ago and I think from then till now I have come a long way if you all remember me when I was at my worst in and out of hospital on and off of section not taking my meds I was in a bad shape . I don’t think I’m well but I’m learning to accept my illnesses if that makes sense I know why I’m like this and I think I know what to do to get better I just take one day at a time .
I didn’t go to the markets today because it was busy I heard and I didn’t feel up for long ques today . I have started a diary for my mental health as well as my seizure diary because when you’re having a bad day you forget all your good days .
yes I’m really enjoying working in a nursery I guess I’m doing ok I haven’t had any complaints yet from the manager or the agency and I guess if I had done some thing wrong they would of told me it requested I didn’t come back but I don’t think you can go wrong really . My job is to interact with the children and help with jobs like if I see cleaning that needs doing I just do it . I try my best to help where I can I don’t have to deal with paper work or speaking to the parents I don’t have to do nappies either so that’s good . I think it helps that I don’t have to do too many things the stress isn’t there so much .It’s nice that you know some one who does the same job and that you used to work with children it is a rewarding job .

Oh @cupcake88 - remember you were doing so well, & this will pass again.
Yes, you've been here 4 years, & myself a little longer. I'm so pleased to have got to know you, & that you have kept in touch with us all through good & bad.
As you say, all you, & many of us can do, is get through each day when things are difficult.
I used to work with babies & young children, & it's so lovely when you can do something you enjoy. Look forward to when you'll be working with some children again tomorrow, as it seems like you were in your element. You now do have things to look forward to, which must have been difficult in the past.
You can do this, & I'm sending some hugs to surround you this evening, xx

hi every one I had a cry and brushed my self off and I’m trying to get threw to the next day . I’m working tomorrow I’m so sort of dreading it really it’s a new nursery this week not been there before . I’m just worried in case I fit or have a panic attack and start crying .
I’m so greatful to all of you for all your support means so much to me really does . Wish me luck for tomorrow . I have some tidying up to do this evening then hubby is taking me out for a nice meal which will be good I managed to do a Tesco shop earlier got all my bits and bobs .
Yes working with children is a great job I especially like the agency work it’s really good because I don’t have to deal with paper work or parents which is good .
I hope I’m not with the babies tomorrow because my back is really bad and my concentration isn’t great so I hope I’m with the older children .

Best of luck tomorrow @cupcake88, I hope it goes well and you get to be with the older children. Toddlers always make me laugh, I used to love being around them when we had foster kids in the house 😁
Have a lovely meal tonight too! Do you know what you'll be having?

Have a lovely meal out with your husband @cupcake88 - I'm sure you'll both enjoy it.
You seem a natural with children, so they will enjoy being with you too. You will be fine, & sometimes it's OK not to be fine, but I have every confidence in you, xx

Hi @cupcake88 - you haven't let the agency down; people have appointments they absolutely need to attend to look after their health.
I'm so dreadfully sorry you're in so much pain due to your new meds. Can you let the agency know, or the nursery you're at now, how difficult it would be for you working with babies again tomorrow?
Even if you can't contact them until you go in tomorrow, just explain. If you can't help out with the babies tomorrow, but feel you could help the older children, please just let them know. This would show your continuing commitment to helping & hopefully allow you to say how you're having to cope with so much pain, xx

hi I had to call in sick I could barely move this morning now I’m worried I have been sacked because she hasn’t got back to me and hasn’t sent me any shifts for next week . If I have been sacked then that would be very unfortunate because I enjoy what I’m doing but I just couldn’t go in today I couldn’t move x

Hi @cupcake88 - I hope your pain starts to ease soon. Hopefully things will get sorted & they'll try to ensure that you work with the older children moving forwards. Try & rest, but do keep on getting up every so often so you don't stiffen up, xx

Are you feeling any better today @cupcake88? Please let us know how you are getting on.

hi every one I lost my job for being off sick I’m devastated but I was genuinely unwell . I’ll just look for another job in an agency or at a nursery directly . I’m still very unwell I’m wrapped up in bed .

I'm so sorry to read that @cupcake88. Can I ask how long you had worked for them?
I hope you are feeling better soon.

only two weeks I’m feeling so low . My husband says I need to concentrate on getting better but I like to try and work I don’t need the money but it be nice to have . Maybe this is a question you or any one else can answer for me . Are there any other benefits I can claim part from pip my husband earns a good wage so we wasn’t entitled to Uc .

Really sorry to hear that @cupcake88 but your hubby is quite correct. You need to focus on yourself firstly. You're not going to be able to help anyone until you're a bit more stable and used to the new medication. Have you checked a benefits calculator to see what you're entitled to?
