hi I had to call in sick I could barely move this morning now I’m worried I have been sacked because she hasn’t got back to me and hasn’t sent me any shifts for next week . If I have been sacked then that would be very unfortunate because I enjoy what I’m doing but I just couldn’t go in today I couldn’t move x

Hi @cupcake88 - I hope your pain starts to ease soon. Hopefully things will get sorted & they'll try to ensure that you work with the older children moving forwards. Try & rest, but do keep on getting up every so often so you don't stiffen up, xx

Really sorry to hear that @cupcake88 but your hubby is quite correct. You need to focus on yourself firstly. You're not going to be able to help anyone until you're a bit more stable and used to the new medication. Have you checked a benefits calculator to see what you're entitled to?

hi I’m so upset I lost my job still I just feel like it’s set me back I’m trying so hard but work places just don’t give disabled people a chance does any one else find that ?

I don’t want to be on benefits or reply on my husband for ever I want a little job that I enjoy and can do and that’s walkable from my house because cars trigger me .

Sorry to hear about your job @cupcake88. You've done so well after all you've been through this year and I'm sorry you've had this knock to your confidence. It's totally understandable that you're upset about it and it's so disappointing when employers don't give you the support you need.

Scope has some employment services if you think you'd find them useful: Employment support services | Disability charity Scope UK

I'm not sure there's anything I can say to make it feel better, but I hope a new opportunity comes your way soon. Take care of yourself 💛

That sounds really tough @cupcake88, I'm sorry you went through that. I've had panic attacks in public before and it can make you feel really vulnerable, especially if people are staring. It can take a long time to feel like yourself afterwards, so I hope you're doing a little better tonight. Be really kind to yourself if you can.

I'm glad the community can be there for you when you're having a hard time 😊 there's so many lovely members here and it always brightens my day to see everyone supporting each other. Hope some better days are on their way soon 💜
