Energy voucher + electric blanket - flummoxed!

I sure you're right Poppy, I can't imagine for a moment Scope would do a scam. They've got no info about us anyway, apart from our names and addresses, which I'm sure any scammer worth his / her salt could get off the dark web in a jiffy.
Relax everyone, they're just slow in processing the claims. Morgan Scope has provided contact details above, give them a call + ask them when they'll be sending the vouchers out.

I did that and was just told they are busy

Where is the money for these voucher's coming from?

It says on the disability energy support website :
This service is funded by the Energy Saving Trust, Southern and Scottish Gas Network, Cadent, Northern Gas Networks and Wales and West Utilities.
So I assume one of them?

The electric blanket now seems to be a heated throw..
Scope, do we all need to apply again?
0 -
Yes would be handy to get an idea of what is going on. I would have preferred a blanket :/

I received an email from the Disability Energy Support people……
"Due to reduced capacity, we will respond to emails by the 10th of January 2025."

Isn't a heated throw the same thing though?
0 -
No, a throw goes over you, an electric blanket you put on a bed.

A throw is a type of blanket yes @whistles so nothing has changed there other than the naming of the item. 😊
Sorry for the delay folks. I'm sure the DES team will get back to you as soon as they can. It sounds like it was a lot more popular than they first thought!

A heated throw could pre-warm the bed but should not be slept on.
An electric blanket is designed to fit between the mattress and sheet.

I applied for the electric blanket before Christmas, haven't heard anything

From what I understand Wibbles, Scope is a registered charity. In fact I saw one of their adverts on the telly around Xmas to raise funds.

Anyone hear anything then? Still heard nothing
0 -
Despite being told by DES that they would respond by 10th Jan - I still have heard nothing !!

Yeah, not sure why they said the 10th, would be nice if someone could get some official information on how long processing is likely to take. At this rate it will be Spring

Hi everyone. We've reached out to DES for a timescale. Hope to be able to share this with you soon. Sorry about the delays.

I'm so sorry @IndignantPigeon. I hope you're getting plenty of warm drinks in you and fingers crossed when we get an answer, it's a positive one.
