Well the media are gunning for Rachel Reeves so it's only a matter of time before she's gone. But that won't change policy unfortunately. So much goes on in politics that we never get to hear about. There is sometimes a scape goat and the only winner is the media

I read an article by Political reporter Kate Whannel for the BBC who interviewed Kier starmer in September 2024 and he's sticking to what he said back then.

Andi66 very useful information thank god I've already gone through the u.c migration nightmare although this does fit in with what I said earlier about what they intend to do via u.c work coaches etc

I think because reeves has made a mess up, and she wants growth. She's doing this. She still going on about a black hole which I think is a lie. There wasn't one to begin with just a excuse to tax, hit pensioners, farmers, now us maybe to cover their spending to train drivers, and mad milliband net zero ideas. I

I’ve just found this and it’s helped calm me and stopped me dwelling on the newspaper stuff. I’m sharing in the hope it will help others

Thank you, yes the media are gunning for the disabled. Don't they think having a disability is hard enough without them slagging us off as spongers
I have to have a travel pillow to sleep because of my neck, knee supports, back brace wrist brace etc because of my painful joints. Fatigue , digestive problems. Inhalers from copd from being a cleaner. Oh yes having a great time suffering. Sorry for my rant. Makes me sick

I was stupid and thought labour would understand, it’s not our fault we’re on benefits and a bit of compassion and understanding from the government would go a long way, I felt better for about three weeks after the election then it was back to the attacks again. At least we have scope and a few charities on our side any changes won’t be straight away but still it’s horrible for us I wish they’d just understand that 😞

So work coaches have the power to say your fit for work

@mangomungo The only way they could truly understand is if they have experienced the pain and disrespect having either a disability or an invisible disability or personally know someone they see often to know what they go through the challenges there backed up against... whilst on the subject of politics, we hope we never ever have an English version of Trump
Yes thankfully we have scope for up to date guidance and advice. But roll on spring/summer when we all finally no what to expect. Rather than us getting in a mess abour all of the "what ifs"! Ti mess about with our head

I think it would be a good idea for politicians to have to live off of benefits for a week and see how they get on, it’s true though they don’t realise sat up in their million pound houses how it feels. But at least we have each other here and we’re not alone
