Good morning everyone! How are we all today?
I'm also happy to hear the ultrasound went well @Marydoll5 What'd your fry-up have? I have them so rarely now, but I do sometimes get a craving for white or black pudding.
That sounds like me when I was much younger @Teigr :P I used to be awful at doing the washing, now I'm actually the person who does it the most!1 -
How was Switzerland @Jimm_Scope???

Eating out was very expensive though, their wages are quite a bit higher there and it showed! I did look in at some watch shops but I have to say the items you mentioned were a bit out of my price range :P
If we went again we would get an airbnb or a place to stay that we can cook for ourselves, as the groceries weren't too expensive. Their food sales tax there is only 2.6% on non-essentials and even the highest sales tax on luxuries was only 8.1%. The higher prices were definitely cause their wages are just much better than ours on average.

We have one in the garage @Sandy_123,but we never use it because we can't find anyone to sort out the electrics in there.1

Marina summers has been good all the way through so between her and hannah conda
I think it's on Fri I was hoping it was tonight @Albus_Scope2 -
They are definitely two drag powerhouses! I still love LGD, she's just bonkers and you never know what she'll come up with next! But I do think Marina will win. Tia has done so well though, such a glow up!2

well me I am shocked but in a good way, If I am reading things correctly My universal credit payment will be nearly 700 pounds after my
Limited capability for work and work-related activity payment starts on April 2nd , and if I get my pip on top my Income will be over £1000 per month and as I have been struggling on under £200 pm I am a little shocked .

@Jimm_Scope very interesting!!!! Don't worry about the photos, I'm the same, rather enjoy the time than preserve it for later
Did you stay in the city the whole time or did you get to explore the countryside as well?
I know Cambridge well, especially the amount of cyclists, sounds like it's a lot more organised over there!!
You are right about wages, I remember Switzerland a few years back was considering something resembling universal credit, and it was suggested at something like £1,600 a month. People in the UK and other places were up in arms until it was pointed out that, in Switzerland, that would barely be enough to live on!!2 -
Wel, done on your claims @Bashford61
I'll be shocked if marina don't win albus3 -

The images took up quite a bit of space so I've hidden them behind this spoiler, just click to see themNow, I am not the most skilled photographer but let me upload a few pictures here. Sorry if they take up a lot of space!6 -
I'm so pleased you got that award @Bashford61. You should find life easier now.
@Jimm_Scope the wee fry had a sausage, bacon rasher, egg, soda bread, potato bread and mushrooms. We rarely have them so it's a special treat.
I was in Zurich years ago and couldn't get over how clean it was and expensive too. People were very honest. They punched their tram tickets and I never saw an inspector. If that was Belfast they would be bankrupt in a week.

@Jimm_Scope looks like an amazing place and doesn't look overly busy either!!2
-
We never saw an inspector on the trams in Basel either @Marydoll5. It was just hop on and hop off, we had a pass for our entire stay due to staying within the city. I always get very envious of the public transit many places have on continental Europe. Netherlands is one I'm always surprised by, it's just so easy and cheap to get around without a car compared to the UK.
It was a bit outside of tourist season @66Mustang so it was rather quiet! Though we were blessed by having good weather anyway.1 -
Looks a lovely city @Jimm_Scope2
-
The weather here is very.... Spring. Sunny one moment, rain the next!

I'm very jealous @Jimm_Scope that looked lovely!
I'm doing great thanks @Ada other than being very confused by the weather again.2 -
